+x+x+xSad news out of Wollongong that Kemblawarra Fury have folded. Damn. We've been playing them in the Portuguese Cup for a few years. Guess it's a 3 team tourney now with you, Fraser & that Brisbane team Earlier in the year I mentioned they should invite Elwood FC from Melbourne to the Portuguese Cup. Well over the year I've also discovered that Casuarina FC up in Darwin has significant Portuguese links via East Timor.

+xWith all due respect to Timpano, he is hardly a coach that players would drive hours every week on minimal wage for. Glad someone said it

I was actually wondering about Casuarina because I noticed the colours that they wear. There are a couple of Portuguese social clubs throughout Australia but it is hard to find football clubs. Thanks for letting me know.

So we have apparently signed David Bradasevic, Ben Tosi & Dean Bereveskos. Happy about David, local kid & will challenge Jimmy, dont know much about the other two. Heard we released Marty Lo.

I know us in PL3 start around those dates normally (at least a month before club football start) and yes PL1 a couple of weeks later in the past, look like FNSW decided to start all grades same time. Yer that should be an interesting first up game SU58 and at ol Marconi. The other one is Manly vsing APIA - what a 1st game for 2018.

When I was at Dully last year, we played Manly early on in preseason. Our 18s had a terrible squad and got pumped 10-0. There's not much benefit in that. There's a massive gap between NPL 1 and 3. Is your kid still with Gladesville?

Look I tend to agree and not. Last number of seasons we also have hit outs against Olympic. Sure it’s pre season but our boys last couple of seasons comeback 2nd halves and give a good game of it. None have been blow outs but good yard sticks regards to fitness pace and ball work. I grew up in my playing days thrown in the deep end and this is just as - a hard lesson hopefully without breaking their hearts you got to face the facts. Yes mate his 2nd season in 18’s coming up with good experience playing 20’s most of second half last season. A lot of changes at Magic the off season with players and coach’s. Hopefully a step in the right direction. Where you at this year ?

Edit: We've also got a trial against Gladesville on the 11th Feb.

All the best as well but you know, hopefully we topple Rage all 3 grades through the season. Whilst your there, how about getting them to cut the grass shorter/lower at Garside. Its always too long/fluffy slows the ball down too much imo. Imagine if my kid is in the 20's 2nd round due to injuries etc as probably will happen. That we do re a Trial, I'll have to look you up on the day. I actually helped Rage with a promising new recruit for SAP, my bro inlaws son has been in Club in the Hills District and wanted to have a go being he has come to watch his cousin a number of times last few years. So I passed on Rages contact details for the Trails and he's been picked in U12's so good luck to him, hope they have good coaching for him so I'll be keeping tabs on their season and try to make a game or 2.

Yeh there were some dramas at Dully so I left. I've moved out west (can't afford a place in the inner west) so its close to home. Don't worry, if the pitch is crap, I'll bring it up with the president. The teams that I coach like to play football.
