Good on you guys, your pitch has been looking like shit for a while lol

will it be ready by season kick off ?

its what happens when all grades play on the pitch and it gets flogged to death.

Our first home game is on the 24th March so hopefully its ready by then, if not, we will play away for the first few rounds.

is that right......expensive exersize......

Bonnyrigg should be looking to reroute those high powered power lines hanging over the field before even thinking about expanding the grand stand. :-k

Do it in stages.

The ground is already banked on that side. so turn it into a concrete terrace first.

Just like a retaining wall.

Many of the less developed grounds spend too much undoing natural elements which can reduce costs.

the Dripping Pan in England is a prime example of using the natural embankments to keep costs down when doing new developments.

the official criteria was minimum 500 undercover seats and a total of 1500 seats. spartans would not be able to satisfy this however given it is a new purpose built complex, who knows that FNSW decided.
I understand utd have started on coverting king tom to a synthetic playing surface with the aid of boka. anyone got any news on when it will be ready? synthetic is the missing link at our ground at rockdale. fingers crossed it happens in the near future.

player wise, someone commmented earlier that utd would struggle this year with an average team. i think theyre wrong. rudes is at the helm and theyve aded some firepower with the likes of mileski, triantis and co. they also picked up one of the jap boys from blacktown although not the best one, hes staying put. theyve also let go of some dead wood.

will again be a very even comp.

sutho have strengthened with the likes of elasi and some good youngsters coming through.
bonno again will have a strong team.
utd will improve.
blacktown are always strong.
olympic picked up a few new playes including a couple of boys from utd.

for me will be interesting to see how the wolves go without trevor morgan at the helm although is been a far more stable pre season than last year.

weve kept the nucleus of our side from last year and have added a few key players so fingers crossed we can make the finals.

Work has already started. I believe the club is hoping to have it ready by the start of the season... or a couple of weeks into it at worst

I said that. That opinion has nothing to do with like/dislike of your club.

It has to do with all 3 grades at your club struggled last season and your club only avoided relegation by protest and a dodgy match fixing game thanks to your new coach at his old clubs finals expense.

Regardless who your coach is you have nothing coming through your grades for obvious reasons. This means that your club will struggle this season again unless those happy to fork out $$$ for players which have been the product of other clubs expert training come to the fore your club will struggle again this season.

It's not rocket science.

thats bollocks although it shouldnt have an impact for this season given it is starting relatively high. as it comes down, thats when it will start to have an effect. however as it stands at present, i think most teams should be fine, even those who purchase a few newbies.

You're not fooling anyone mate.

For the record, I'm pretty sure that we had the player of the year in the U20s even though we were pretty poor. The fact that we were pretty poor might have had a lot to do with quite a few of our youngsters playing first team football (16 year old Cindric, Baric, Paric, Ewert etc.). A number of those players are also at NYL sides at the moment.

Let's not forget that our 20s have been in the GF twice in the last 4 years, winning one of them.

But you're right, we've got nobody coming through... and we ALWAYS try to buy success. Even though the last 7/8 years of our success has been built on a core of players developed at the club.

But just in case that's not good enough for you, we have actually made a number of big signings. So, by your own admission in your last paragraph, that should be good enough to keep us competitive.

Will the new points system already have any impact on the competition this year?

Nope. The points system is completely circumventable by smart clubs.

thats bollocks although it shouldnt have an impact for this season given it is starting relatively high. as it comes down, thats when it will start to have an effect. however as it stands at present, i think most teams should be fine, even those who purchase a few newbies.

like to know EXACTLY how ist suppose to work????

It should be fairly easy. All players are worth a base price of 10 points and you then add/subtract points based on a number of factors - age, where they spent their development years, whether they're a new signing, whether they're a visa player etc

Not sure how the system would be easily circumvented unless clubs start forging Aussie citizenships and birth certificates
