Costa Rica win. What a shootout. Not one of the penalties were bad, not even the one that was saved. Amazing

Give it a rest mate... The pen in the last game was absolutely spot on.

Proud of Ben Williams for not falling for the Costa Ricans' dives and acting all game. Disappointed he didn't enforce the 'stay on your line' rule during the shoutout though. Navas had no chance if he hadn't come of his line early to narrow the angle. It was his night though... A couple of jaggy saves throughout the match. Greece only have themselves to blame. Should have killed it in extra time.

Totally a dive mate, no one can argue. My vid shows 3 angles. No contact.

The contact is before that video starts (as you can see on the one above in the thread). Definitely didn't dive (defenders contact brought him down) but questions mayyybe about whether defenders are obliged to get out of the way of the striker's backswing or not. Definitely contact though either way (in the backswing)

The first vid at this link conveniently only shows footage 'after' the contact. The slow motion footage below it clearly shows contact - penalty for sure.

rubbish it shows a mans foot twist at the ankle as it hits the ground about 3 inches from the greek players foot.
