I've liked the fact that Adrtho, along with MVJono, have brought ELO data to 442.

Also, Adrtho has challenged the concept of blind acceptance of Euro hegemony by football followers in Australia. This is anathema to some, but it doesn't mean that some people should be banned for expressing views which challenge the norm.

On the other hand, there is no point a person participating on 442 and constantly hounding others, and attacking people personally for things they don't agree with. Strictly enforced, there are others who can be banned for playing the man not the ball as well.

If you are reading this, Adrthro, play the ball not the man. This can apply to some who engage in polemics with Adrthro too.

One thing I detest is bullying. If a lot of people are attacking one poster, possibly for legitimate reasons, it can be tantamount to bullying.

By making a thread about banning an individual, it can end up inadvertently being a bullying thread.

I'm not saying TSF or others haven't got legitimate grievances, they possibly have.

I think it is better to report these issues to mods to take the issue up. Then if necessary discuss it on the mod panel, then report back to the poster making the complaint.

I still think we need more mods. Some of the longer term ones seem to post infrequently, hence not being active and leaving a bigger workload for the active ones.

I'm not sure I've seen many posts from Funky Monkey for years. Is he still a mod? Are Erebus and Stifler's Mom still around?

The workload needs to be shared.

On another forum some mods have received death threats. I hope it has never occurred on here for people who often do a thankless job.

Lots of people contribute only one annoying persistent agenda. There are worse posters than adrtho.

If he is not a troll, good on him for sharing his opinion. I know if I was on a forum where I continually embarrassed myself I probably wouldn't hang around much longer.

Also, appreciate the fact that he might've brought ELO data to the forum, but in his case, it's like bringing a case of Weissbier to a Coeliac Association Fundraiser. Just because he has the best intentions doesn't mean he is right.

Once I think I saw him post something articulate and well thought out. (2013 was it? Maybe it was 2014?) If only there was more of that and less of the other.
