Actually, there was one wrong decision the other night when a Newcastle defender used his shoulder. The ref got it wrong but only because he thought it had hit the arm. That is an entirely different matter from not knowing the proper rule.

How many coaches and commentators went off last night about the ball hitting Zullo's arm being a stone wall, rusted on penalty?

We're talking about a situation where Zullo had his back turned but somehow, the commentators believe, he intended to touch the ball.

Once again, according to the laws of the game, the rule is about hand to ball, not ball to hand and the position of the hand does not necessarily matter. Please learn the rule before going off about the referee's dreadful decision. (Mind you, the officials didn't see any deflection at all last night...it should have been a corner.)
