Boof's right, Pietersen pumping his own tyres doesn't change the fact that they failed again and the money spent on him could've been better spent on a team player or 3.
As for Pietersen having an opinion about the ODI / BBL scheduling, who cares what he thinks? He's well known for thinking what ever he's doing is the most important thing in the universe and I'm sure he'd have the opposite view if he'd been playing an ODI for Eng while the BBL was taking focus. The fact is that the BBL is domestic cricket and it is no different than the Aussies playing Tests against South Africa while the Matador Cup is being played.

Rubbish KP has been one of the best players in the BBL the last few seasons, the Stars would struggle to find a player anywhere near his quality.

Lehmann should lay off the sauce and concentrate on his job, cause he's bloody lucky to have it after the embarrassment served up against South Africa.

Funny stuff, Roar. KP is as Hussey labelled him - a marketing tool, although I don't know about the marketing bit. When it's all said and done if his job was to mentor around the franchise he's failed, because the team didn't play in the final again and regardless of what Eddie, Hussey or KP say that is what they were there for.
Funny too that you have had to go back to the Aussies performance against SA. Nothing is more accurate than "You're only as good as your last performance", especially in this short attention span 21st Century. So last game? Aussies won, Stars lost!
