That is a really good article from Steven Vagg, Grazor.

Brett Geeves who Lehmann criticised has about double the intelligence of Boof. He has the ability to be Oz's top cricket writer.

Geeves bowled 145  kph plus thunderbolts and played for Oz's One Day team.

Brett Geeves was a very good shield bowler.

As for the article it makes lots of good points although I do not agree with them all.

Lehmann has an excellent cricketing brain, he understands the game and an excellent shield captain. Still that does not mean he does not make mistakes or is just as good as a coach.

The preoccupation with low quality or fake all rounders batting 6 goes way beyond Lehmann and it is very harmful for the team. The likes of Marsh, Cartwright, Henriques, Stoinis, Agar and Maxwell should be nowhere near the test side as number 6 batsmen. Cartwright probably has the potential to become quite a good batsman and Stoinis is probably closer to a specialist batsman although not proven to be test quality yet.

Not selecting Khawaja ahead of Marsh in the first two tests was simply wrong.

Cartwright has a shield average of 45. Definitely looks promising

You do need a player to keep the bowlers fresh. But they don't need wickets as much as they need to have 2-3 tight overs
