The Newcastle Herald understands the Jets are also in advanced talks with Melbourne Victory fullback Daniel Georgievski.

The 29-year-old Macedonia international has played 62 games in three seasons for the Victory and started in the 2014-15 grand final win over Sydney

Georgevski isn't that bad, especially compared the standard dross that Newcastle hire.  He is a good age and still plays well when called upon.  If anything he is a tad inconsistent but who of the non-marquee players in the A-League isn't.  This plus O'Donvovan is a step in the right direction.  Just need a good manager to take them forward.
