they might have been dominant in what has become an ever weaker league but when it came to Europe they were very poor to say the least. Kinda highlights the differences in what it takes to be successful in Scotland these days and Europe. Lets not forget Rogers' Celtic lost to a team from Gibraltar to start their European season off. They then also drew in Kazakhstan and lost in Israel on their way to making the group stages where they failed to register a single victory in their group and finished dead last. Rogers is a very average manager but he is doing the best he can do with what he has at his disposal. Celtic are unable to compete financially to secure top talent for Europe given their domestic competitions are unattractive to top talent because it so p**s-poor. I went and saw Celtic vs Motherwell this season and it was the quintessential snoozefest. Thank god the city of Glasgow is great and their hockey team is brilliant to watch as it made up for it.
