Not even close mate.
67 was way above anything Rodgers has done. In 67 both Rangers and Celtic made a European final and Kilmarnock were knocked out of the equivalent of the Europa league in the semi finals by a brilliant Leeds side.

A European cup win will trump an undefeated season.

They won every competition they played in unlike this years team who lost quite heavily in Europe.

they might have been dominant in what has become an ever weaker league but when it came to Europe they were very poor to say the least. Kinda highlights the differences in what it takes to be successful in Scotland these days and Europe.

Lets not forget Rogers' Celtic lost to a team from Gibraltar to start their European season off. They then also drew in Kazakhstan and lost in Israel on their way to making the group stages where they failed to register a single victory in their group and finished dead last.

Rogers is a very average manager but he is doing the best he can do with what he has at his disposal. Celtic are unable to compete financially to secure top talent for Europe given their domestic competitions are unattractive to top talent because it so p**s-poor.

I went and saw Celtic vs Motherwell this season and it was the quintessential snoozefest. Thank god the city of Glasgow is great and their hockey team is brilliant to watch as it made up for it.

I spose Rodger has had the Ange affect like he did when he was managin at Roar as Celtic are one fo few teams trying to retain possession.
Hopefully it sparks the other teams into action to get rid of the hoofball stuff

This (part in BOLD)
The Lisbon Lions won everything in their '67 season. The Domestic Treble (4 Titles if counting the Glasgow Cup), along with winning the 1967 European Cup.

Also, as SUTHERLANDBEAR points out, the competition was a lot stronger back then.

Now, with all that said and done, what we achieved this season is simply amazing. To win the Domestic Treble while going undefeated is an amazing achievement. Regardless of the level of the opposition, to go though the entire season without a loss is amazing. An achievement that won't be forgotten any time soon.

Celtic has a history of playing a possession based style of football and keeping the ball on the deck. This whole belief that Celtic played some sort of form of "hoofball" is beyond belief/crazy. People seem to think that because Celtic plays in a league in the British Isles it somehow makes them automatically play  some style of "hoofball" when that isn't the case with regards to the way Celtic plays football.

Are there other teams in SPL now trying to play more proactive football now or is it basically Celtic playing this style of football ?
