incidentally SE melbourne have been talking about being the 11th team not part of a 12 team expansion haven't they?

Somewhat, they're naming their campaign "Team11", which could be interpreted as "we're the first team you should be adding".

I've long thought we should expand to twelve teams 1 team at a time....lets hope the ffa agree

I dislike byes mostly, but I also think they might be able to capitalise on the excitement of two new teams. Expansion always seems to generate discussion and intrigue.

I'd like to see the S.E. Melbourne bid get in - Team11 as Team 11 indeed. They've united all the local associations, a distinct identity from the centralised Melbourne teams, being from that SE corridor and local govt. backed plans for a boutique stadium in the area. That bid a real winner, where the fish are and could be a Wanderers Mk II in the making.

FFA might be looking at it as a good way to boost ratings in the two year deal of CH10.

New teams is a proven winner for aninitial ratings jump.

A Brisbane derby and 3rd Sydney/Melbourne derby.
