Both bowlers were pretty impressive over the entire series in India. Nevertheless, O'Keefe has been dropped, supposedly for late tour poor form.

Their bowling in India kept Australia competitive under conditions we've struggled in previously.  Can the replacements do as well?

OKeefe's off field behaviour might have counted against him.

I can see the logic of the selectors though. They want five bowlers, which means we have to pick an all rounder, but the Mitchell Marsh experiment has clearly been a failure.

If Agar can come good as an all rounder, it will mean we can pick five bowlers - three quicks, plus Lyon and Agar.

Agar's batting has improved to the point where he could theoretically bat at number seven against Bangladesh. His batting average is only 26 but it's on the up, and he's got two shield hundreds.

Really didn't expect that Agar would've achieved a couple of shield hundreds and have a reasonable average of 26 at this stage of his career. He could well be the solution as  an all rounder - certainly in the subcontinent against Bangladesh. From memory he is a left arm finger spinner, which means he spins the ball the opposite way to Lyon. Bowling in Perth probably wouldn't be a lot of fun for him in the shield.
