Look forward to the draw.
Enjoy the early rounds being Sydney based with quite few to decide which to check out.
Look the travel is a bitch.
I can understand it from both ends.

The Albury clubs (those North of the border and under FNSW jurisdiction) still haven't entered, I guess they think Sydney is just to far away.
Maybe Leeton entering the FFA Cup this year might be enough to tempt the Griffith guys in next year. I've noticed the Griffith clubs still liking the Bill Cullinan Cup, maybe they prefer this because they are a chance of winning it (well were before the Rhinos took most of the best players). The chance of getting a bigger club down to Griffith again should be attractive though. Wagga City have been knocked out by Marconi and Wollongong Wolves in the last few years, both away, but to draw one of those former NSL clubs at home would be the biggest thing in town (football wise) in ages.

I think it might be the travel. I'm pretty sure (but again, could be wrong) that Wagga City's run to the final found before the national stage (when they were knocked out by the Wolves in Wollongong 1-0), a lot of their games in the lead up were won by forfeit, as the other teams didn't want to travel to Wagga.
Hanwood did make the semi final of the BCC last year, but like we said, they are really the only team without player in the Rhinos set up.

Question for everyone though. How friendly are FNSW in re-scheduling games to allow teams to fit them in? For example, the Rhinos in Canberra drew a Capital League team, and Capital Football allowed both Riverina and Weston to reschedule a league game, so that Weston could travel to Griffith on a weekend for the FFA Cup game. How likely is something like this in FNSW? I guess its a lot harder as Canberra is effectively its own association, and thus have more ability to reschedule everyone's league fixtures? I'm guessing in NSW its up to each clubs associations to re-schedule their league games to midweek, and then FNSW to approve a weekend Cup game between the relevant clubs?

In that run of Wagga City to eventually face the Wolves there was only 1 forfeit of a team not wanting to travel to Wagga. They won 2 games in Wagga and 1 in Sydney before the forfeit round.
In the later rounds of the Cup FNSW usual switch to mid-week cup games. I know on a few occasions when a Sydney club is meant to have traveled to Wagga mid-week they have shifted the Cup game to the weekend, that has meant Wanderers have had to back up and play Saturday/Sunday. The Wagga City vs Wolves games was played mid-week in Wollongong though. And I know of other teams having to travel to Bathurst mid-week as well.

Is this at Hoppers normal home ground? Won't they have to play there again during the season anyway?

It was against Gladesville-Ryde Magic (NPL3) & they wanted them to play in Wagga at 4pm on a Weds lmfao
