The AFC U16 Championship will take place in Malaysia from September - October 2018.

20. Eligibility of Players
20.1. Each Member Association shall ensure that all players:
20.1.1. are duly registered with the AFC pursuant to these Regulations;
20.1.2. hold the nationality of its country and are subject to its jurisdiction;

20.1.3. have not participated in a previous edition of the AFC U-16
Championship (either Qualifiers or Finals);
20.1.4. have not represented it in any higher age-group competition;
20.1.5. are eligible to participate for the representative team of the Member
Association in accordance with Article 5-8 of the Regulations
Governing the Application of the FIFA Statutes;

Qualifiers
20.1.6. were born on or after 1 January 2002;

Finals
20.1.7. were registered in the Final Registration for the Qualifiers; or
20.1.8. were born on or after 1 September 2002.
