I can’t watch it.
Can anyone briefly summarise? Does he explain leaving or anything?

Was hit up with the first question. He joked it off. Happy that people are talking about it instead of the back 3, and David's happy that people stopped talking about the congress.

Thanks Bohemia, so yet again doesn’t give a definitive answer.
Conspiracy theory: maybe he isn’t leaving, deliberately leaked the news to take the heat off the players

He's leaving and is probably relieved af that he can be a passive-agressive shit to Gallop and there's nothing he can do about it. Expect one or two more of those comments in the lead up and a big fuck you interview after he goes.

Postecoglou up for Honduras challenge

Under-fire Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou insists he's not looking any further than next month's do-or-die World Cup qualifying playoff with Honduras.

Postecoglou has spent a week at the centre of rabid speculation over his coaching future after an incendiary report had suggested he will leave the national team after the Honduras matches.

Speaking on Wednesday afternoon at a Sydney business function, Postecoglou failed to give credence to the reports or hose them down.

Instead, he directed his energies on insisting he was up for the challenge of beating the Central American nation - and securing Australia's place at the World Cup.

"My focus is these two games. If we don't get through these two games, there's no decision to make. That's the one certainty," he said.

Postecoglou struck an indignant tone at the suggestion his rumoured departure might impact his team's performance in the qualifiers.

"I'm not going to go out there and start thinking about what happens after these two games because they're just too important," he said.

"I guess people are trying to figure out a reason why (I might leave). It's certainly not because I'm not enjoying it.

"This is the greatest honour you could possibly have. I've loved every minute of coaching my country.

"I know I'm in a pretty special place and I love every minute of it.

"The most important thing is we get the job done in the next two games.

"All the other stuff - whether it's criticism over the way the team's playing or me or what I'm going to do - is just noise that doesn't infiltrate me and certainly it doesn't infiltrate the camp."

In typical style, Postecoglou first attempted to make light of the story.

The 52-year-old joked it was a diversion from both his divisive tactics and the looming threat of FIFA intervention in Australian football, a matter preoccupying the FFA and chief executive David Gallop.

"It's been a hell of a talking point. It's served its purpose because no one is talking about the back three any more," Postecoglou said.

"And no one's talking about the Congress so David's really happy."

Postecoglou was speaking at a NAB-sponsored 'Celebration of Football' event, broadcast by Fox Sports.

The Socceroos play Honduras on Friday November 10, (Saturday November 11 AEDT) before the home tie on Wednesday November 15.

It's likely a charter flight will be arranged for the team to head home ahead of commercial flight schedules to assist with preparation for the second leg at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
