the Melbourne derby when played at AAMI is pretty good...   but if you really must compare, then the Sydney derby is better.
I really don't care, the derby that your club plays in,  should be the best derby in your own opinion, as it means the most to you.   I wonder if in other leagues,,  say. EPL, do people compare if the London derbies are bigger, or the Manchester or Merseyside derbies are?

They are both good events and a testament to the progression our league has made 

AAMI park is a better venue (especially for atmosphere) 
Both matches sellout (generally) 
Both clashes lack historical rivalry

I'd say Victory vs Sydney FC is probably a the best derby because there is history and clear lines in the sand.
