With Austin doing his knee and out for the season... Victory are in the hunt for an attacking player!! Any fringe Socceroos or aussies not playing or T end of their season that Victory could grab to fill the void and help the national team?? My thoughts stray to Burns? Anyone else??

Would Victory take him? Any other players who are not getting game time at other clubs that could fill in for Austin?

Burns would probably be the best option.

Why not promote the talented 17 year old instead who looks to be a better player..oh wait this is the a-league where recycling of players is common.

It's almost like it' a lack of trust when it comes to give younger boys a chance. Why not give young theoharas 4 or 5 games and see how he goes. You might be surprised.

Borello or Yeboah seem the logical fit. Both were ex-Roar players.

Exactly, and then people question why we produce enough players when they don't have enough opportunities to play. Back in the NSL days whom it wasnt perfect but one thing they did right was playing younger players quite frequently, they would be giving debuts to 17, 18-year-old kids. Meanwhile, sydney fc select a kid to make his debut and hes just 20, talk about a difference!

Exactly, especially since Theoharas looks really good. Not to mention usually youngsters play really well when given the chance because they really want to prove themselves rather than the same useless journeymen.

Ben Halloran seems to be the forgotten winger, would take him for sure. Would love to get Yeboah on loan though!

Agreed guys, he's looked good in his sub appearances and worth giving further opportunity to. As his team-mate Rhys Williams said start of the season, it's only with such injuries and squad changes that younger players can see the opportunity and Rhys was in that scenario himself once, when he was younger and that's how he broke through. And to be honest, Austin has been a mixed bag since arriving. He just doesn't quite seem to fit or more, hasn't quite seemed to settle into the surrounds. At the Mariners he was a key player and sprang opponents' offside traps with freedom. He's just a bit-part player as Connor Pain was and is arguably another example of a player who'd benefit when the A-League finally expands to 12.

Yeah Theoharas has been a shining light as has Hope for their cameo appearances. It amazes me of their composure and the time they seem to have on the ball .
