Perhaps the clubs are reimbursed or something. 

If its advertised well it'd be a great initiative. 

Fans should get reimbursed as a percentage for those matches from FFA if they have bought their children a season ticket. 

That is a good initiative. Should link football registration with a free game in the future.

Ticket prices to be doubled as people now get the extra entertainment of being able to sit in the stadium for 180 minutes whilst waiting for the VAR to make the incorrect call. Extra time and wacky interpretive performance art can't be given away for nothing you know.

Another short term band-aid fix that addresses their problem and not the leagues problem. This will make this seasons books look good (or should I say not as bad) by padding out the poor attendance numbers, but won't necessarily create regularly returning fans and long term members. Many families will jump at free entertainment for their kids during the school holidays, but coming to games on a regularly basis may not be a reality for many families. Especially with the vast majority of games being played in the evening. If they really want more families, shift the league to winter and play during the daytime.
