Shame hes been on the bench so much, hes a player that can actually make the Nix somewhat watchable. 

He's been a stand out in the reserve team for a couple of years, the only reason we haven't seen him in the A-League more is they're worried that he's too small. The fans and football pundits over here have been calling for him to start for the last twelve months.

He scored the goal last week but also rattled the post off the bench in a game before. When he's come on the field this season he's sparked the team but often too little too late.

He's as good as other young prospects which have come through the Phoenix like Rojas, whether or not he lives up to his promise is another thing.

Darije said in the press conference after last game that he considers Singh a starter now and on current form even if everyone in the team is fit Singh will be there. Be interesting to see who makes way for him. On form you'd have to say Burns, but Burns hasn't played for a couple of years and needs game time.

The problem is seeing the Nix FB page on game day people have been crying out for him to be more involved for months. Have to question the coaching staff when they seem to be the only ones struggling to see that even if he is a bit rough around the edges, he offers something other than blandness. 

With Smith Darije said he dropped him to protect him becuause of the stress of the situation, Merrick said the same thing about Singh and other young players last season when he wants to put them on the park when the team are a few goals up and build them into the first team.
