@ miron
I asked the club about that this morning when I heard this news. I won’t say who said it but they basically said “that’s Marco writing rubbish”.

Good to see him back. I can't imagine any team likes facing him .He is able to make forward runs through the defensive line like Holman, but unilke Holman is a bit more structured,so teammates know what he is doing. It will be good to see him as a super sub again.

Disappointed I am interstate this weekend. If they market this, I'm sure quite a few people would come out to see Ricky's return.

Another oldie instead of promoting a young player which they have done so they persist with him? Peak a-league.

Henrique is one of if not the best super subs the A-League has seen, he is a game changer, a Brisbane Roar legend and bleeds orange, its a great signing that will get people to actual come to games. Speaking of youth, Brisbane just re-signed Connor O'Toole who started 8 out of 10 times this season, looks more promising than Corey Brown as well. There will be a big clean out of the oldies next season, Theo already confirmed on the way out and with plenty more to come, Henrique coming off the bench is hardly going to stop the young players coming through, something Brisbane has a history of doing every season.

I guess it's a slightly darker orange than he used to bleed after playing for United.
Actually, I just saw that his Thai club played in Orange too so that probably diluted the red back to a more natural orange colour.

Henrique has runs on the board and we need some different attacking options...and at 32 he is not too old.I suspect he may be playing quite cheaply this season as well.People are becoming overly fixated on the age thing. I want to see great youth coming through too....but where are they going to come from...if we had youth players who were ready they would have played by now . We have played quite a few youngies this year...... O'Toole has ,Leck has, Ingham has, Caletti did , D'agostino did.. but they are injured. Brady has, but has never impressed me . Looks exciting sometimes but achieves little.By my count that is 6 youth players.... many of whom got lengthy spells in the firsts .

Yep, people either don't watch games or choose to ignore these youth players who have been given plenty of chances this season, maybe even more than some other clubs. Akbari got a few appearances as well.

Club legend, doesn't take up a foreign spot, I'm guessing close to minimum wage and can actually make an impact off the bench.
Good signing if he's actually fit.

It’s another good year for youngsters playing through, although nothing special as such:
O'Toole - is the best. He’s ready to replace Brown Leck has shown promise but can he make that final cross? Ingham has done okay. Would rather Franjic or Hingert at RB tho. Caletti didnt progress but he will. Same D'agostino who just needs more game time. Brady is just running out of time. Akbari looks special but needs that arrogant streak that Arzani has to realise his potential I recon.
The reserve GK is only 25 and highly regarded.

Im sure they out there if they were given the opportunity to play. A-League coaches need to have the balls to play them and to stick with them.

Henrique will play in number 33, the number which was handed to him when he first signed for Brisbane Roar almost 10 years ago.
No issue making numbers stick anymore :) Anyhoo, Don't think JA has learn't anything about recruitment.

Funny innit , everybody having a go at Roar regarding not playing youth , we have perhaps given debuts to the most young players this year , I wish people would take a moment to look at SYD FC , Victory , City and Perth before having a pop at us SYD in particular shouldn’t bother having a NYL squad as it’s a dead end street.

It seems to be only an issue when the "old experienced players" can't get the job done which leads to the belief that if they're shit anyway, kids might as well be getting experience. When they're successful (Sydney), age is obviously less important.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I just don’t know what all the A league youth coaches and scouts are doing, sabotaging their teams’ chances by deliberately not selecting potential stars.

@ Stifflers mom
Fair comment in Aloisi’s recruitment. Although I dont think this is the signing to judge him on. Ricky is a club legend, as popular as Broich, much loved and is coming back on minimum wage, why wouldn’t they sign him? He’s almost like a lucky charm and Aloisi knows it - the hundreds of positive messages on the clubs FB page are testimony to that
