Is this some sort of subtle evidence that the FFA are moving to erasing the NCIP? anyone who's watched the clip on twitter or facebook may understand more.

So this is now more aligned with the A-League clubs and State federation's logos?? If yes, I can't see any problems with the change.

Phew, everything's okay now then. I remember back before the hal adopted that design. The whole competition was in real trouble up until then. Bless those 3 rings.

Surely there are more important things to worry about than focusing on this.

+x+xSurely there are more important things to worry about than focusing on this. Just Steve's way of reminding us we're not getting an independently run league The unification of the design of the national league and the national federation wasn't subtle. Then again, that's how they do it in AFL, being both the top league and also the world governing body of their sport at the same time, and we know who the FFA love to ape.

Don't know why I'm even bothering to comment. A-league doing ok in my opinion, yes it's not La Liga but its ok and I follow it. FFA not so ok in my opinion. So do FFA want to be more closely aligned to A-league with this logo to show look aren't we doing well. Like the old one better, now all the states will have to change, oh god.

Anyone who has been involved in a rebranding exercise knows its not just the cost of the logo Letterheads, stationary, signage, key rings, pens, internal documents and templates and other electronic files... Gotta make sure they use all the money before the game is taken away from them

Looks like FFA needs to destroy all the documents at head office related to the world cup bid. Damn out of date letterheads...

Nothing wrong with major corporates doing a rebranding but the FFA are running on a shoestring budget (or should be). Why are we running up these type of costs when a brand refresh can be done one in a blue moon only?

“After consultation with more than 4,000 stakeholders across the game nationally, Football NSW has unveiled a new logo and brand in an effort to promote the whole of football in NSW. The overarching brand strategy and design were developed in conjunction with FFA’s brand agency, Hulsbosch Design. Football NSW Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Hodge, said the new logo signifies unification alongside the rest of the Member Federations as well as the Football Federation of Australia (FFA). “This new look and feel logo has been developed in collaboration with the FFA and has the support of all the member federations. “We have worked together in realizing the common goal in building an aligned brand with the FFA. “This new identity will help promote football and simplify the brand organisational structure.” FFA Chief Executive, David Gallop AM, congratulated Football NSW on the initiative. “We’re delighted to have our largest Member Federation fully on board and aligned with FFA, and I congratulate the Board and Management team on the adoption of the new logo. “With 240,000 registered outdoor winter players and more than 750 clubs, Football NSW is the powerhouse of the game in Australia, and a massive contributor to the largest club-based participation sport in the country.”
