Muscat, Poppa and Kurz vey sage. Ernie and corica are alright (don’t think we’d sack him too soon) Rudan has the pressure off a bit following the Nuxs win and so too I’d say Babbel Mulvey has the mariners performing as you expect, That leaves Warren and Aloisi who are under pressure but their clubs aren’t too trigger happy.

We have kisnorbo who is ready all the players love him. Any chance Broich could take over Brisbane?

No to Broich. No licences plus he’s got a lucrative German tv contract on the go.

Kurz, Popa and Muscat are very safe. Rudan's doing alright, Nix have been very impressive over the last two weeks after poor performances against WSW, City and United. Merrick has points in the bank after last season. If the Jets pick up form and play like they did today, he'll be pretty safe. Babbel would be safeish. WSW have the worst squad in the league (alongside CCM) so anything above 8th would be a success. Corica would be under a bit of pressure but wouldn't be sacked until the end of the season. Aloisi has one of the weaker squads but is under pressure, partly due to Brisbane fans massively overestimating the quality of the squad. Mulvey doesn't have a great squad and has a lot of new players who will need time to gel but two points in seven games isn't good enough. Joyce is under the most pressure. They should really be competing for the title and they aren't. Joyce has a history of falling out with players and fell out with Valkanis as well. I think he'll be sacked first, especially if he loses the dressing room.
So Joyce to be first sacked, one of Aloisi and Mulvey to be sacked second.

WSW invested too much to sack Babbel after or within one season. He will get two at least imo.

Babbel is on a big wage so I doubt he will go, but I reckon WSW will be a surprise package we've got roly back and Ziegler in aswell so we're a lot stronger now then our last two performances. All the WSW need really is dm if llorente goes expect another German in come Jan

@sub007 - If Aloisi has a weak squad it is entirely his own doing. He’s been here 3 years and had hand picked the squad. That’s why he should be under pressure.

+x@sub007 - He’s been here 3 years and had hand picked the squad. That’s why he should be under pressure. Did he though? I know Kurz doesn't do the recruiting at Adelaide. He just signs off on it. Plus attracting Australian talent would be difficult also. I mean, who would want to play for Brisbane? The club is a shambles off the field.

And remember Luke DeVere is fit and well but is not being selected because “the Aloisi’s don’t like me”.
You might get away with that shit in an uncapped league or if you’re near the top ... but second from bottom and struggling??

Gotta be Roar or WSW. Even though City are City, I doubt they'd sack Joyce mid season. -PB

Everyone expected Brisbane to struggle (except Brisbane fans), so they're not exactly underachieving.

Sorry Sub007 you are showing you know nothing about Roar. The past 12 months have been our most stable off the field so Aloisi does not have that excuse. We had no problems attracting Australian players such as Mauk and Taggart ... but keep trying.

Everyone except a couple of FoxSports commentators who thought Roar were “dark horses” which, with the talent in the squad, they should have been.
Given everything at his disposal this is purely a failure in coaching. Absolute crap from the Aloisi’s here.
The only person who can sack him is in Jakarta and it’s questionable if he even knows the A League has started ffs

Shirt gate and the loss against Ceres further tarnished the clubs reputation. As for Taggart, he wasn't happy at Perth but who else would have wanted him? Adelaide, City, Sydney, WSW and Jets all had starting strikers and Sydney still had Bobo. Nix didn't have a coach. Victory decided to sign a Visa striker which leaves Roar or CCM.

Most is a bit harsh. About half had Roar outside the six and most who had Roar in the six had them at 5 or 6.

Sub007 - how about checking the predictions of the professionals I.e the betting companies. . All had Roar in the top 6 finishing above teams like Perth and Adelaide ... but your story is good too. Keep trying ....

@sub007
Yeah don’t dispute that, but there’s plenty in there that thought mariners would challenge this season so let’s not give too much credibility.
Going from the back
Young - undoubtedly top 2 in the league.
Avraam - 36 cap, Greek international still in his prime for a CB
Lopez - 30, La Liga quality
Bautheac - quality
Taggart - Golden Boot contender
Mikkelsen - Scandinavian first division quality.
When half your starting side is that good any decent coach should get better from them.

Thomas and Kurto for me. Young can make some very good saves but in previous seasons has conceded a lot of soft goals at the near post. Lopez, Avraam, and Beatheac are good players. Taggart has been very wasteful this season and has his goal tally inflated by scoring two pens.
