Could be a replacement for Nix or we could be going 13 teams/24 rounds the season after next, who knows with the FFA they could be up to anything?

When the new Nbl side was named S.E Phoenix, I immediately knew the nix were going to be leaving the a league.
Canberra united I'm assuming, just like the w league team.

CCM selling to Canberra as soon as the CRWG is up and running. Once the new arrangements are bedded down, the sale can go ahead as the value of a licence will be underwritten by the A League itself. The power of the FFA to remove a licence at arms length will be severely curtailed. Charlesworth gets his payday and his company gets to keep the other assets. Canberra will play a limited number of games at Gosford for a couple of seasons.
PS this move would also end the existing player/staff contracts except where stipulated in the deal. I'm pretty sure Mat Simon will be the first recruited to Canberra though. Anything else is unthinkable!

Interesting. Cross fingers but FFA have a long history of getting canberra hopes up for no reason. Would definitely be great for spreading the game although i can see fox and the money men not happy.

Canberra for nix, they have a good stadium there aswell in Canberra that barely get use this time of the year. As for the nux. What goes around comes around.

It would make sense for Canberra to replace the Nix. Hope it’s in place by 2020 at the latest.

It would be an easy sell. Canberra replacing a poor performer on and off field means any slight improvement on the Nix will be a win. If Canberra gets a spot ahead of other strong bidders the expectations would measurably higher. If the article is accurate and Canberra is given a license the Nix will be definitely gone.
In a resort somewhere

Most likely case is that the Nix are gone but would hope this is an aggressive move to move the HAL to 14 clubs.

Genuine question. What were the requirements that ffa set for the nix and how are they going at meeting them? Ps. Not a piss taking question

+xGenuine question. What were the requirements that ffa set for the nix and how are they going at meeting them? Ps. Not a piss taking question 1) Crowd average above 9k - failed avg 6k. 2) More money from the SKY TV deal - failed $300k only a season. I guess there is more but that's the main metrics.
