+xjust saw Perth Glory have a membership tracker up on their website. 3622 That's what you get for having some of the most expensive memberships in the league. Such a shame. Like last year they will probably be the most expensive in the league. At least this year they have some sort of reason after being premieres.

WSW were at 16-17K. I think we should be hitting around 17k

We can assume that both MV and MC could lose a number of members to WU. How many is a bit of an unknown but we can assume there will be some. Recruiting is going to be a big deciding factor for MV. A lot of key players gone and a lot of key positions to be filled. That combined with an increasingly stale and uninteresting competition means clubs cannot fully hit their ideal numbers. 30k at MV is also a difficult number due to limited capacity of AAMI park.

not a significant drop. maybe 25k. There just feels like a hint of lower expectations with a new coach. Fans are already frustrated with the lack of signings and continued slow starts to the season. Plus there is now extra competition in Melbourne. Maybe I'm completely wrong as its more of a gut feel. For all I know, we could end up singing a big marquee who puts bums on seats and we're off and running in R1.

Victory might be the same for members but that well could be fans renewing but downgrading to 5 games or 2 game memberships.

I think they will at least be aiming to hit 17k, although they will probably be happy with a holding pattern until they return home.

Both stadiums are 20k, however when Leichhardt gets to around 10k, it comes such a pain of a stadium.

This was posted by Waz on August 11 last year in last season's membership thread (not sure how to quote posts from other threads). “Champions Melbourne Victory have the most members with 17,313, followed by Western Sydney (14,531), Sydney FC (8,478), Brisbane (5,875), Melbourne City (5790) and the Jets (5,467)” so from a Victory point of view, we need 4,000 members in 25 days to match the comparative time last year.

August 6th 2018 MV officially announced they signed Honda. Currently we barely even have a squad. Unless they pull out a big name marquee in the next 4 days, I can't see them matching that number.

With MV's GA membership at $259 and MC's GA membership at a $280 (ridiculous), it's a smart move by WU positioning their pricing sub $200. It will definitely help sway any fans that are on the fence. Especially those MC fans that live out west and are feeling neglected by CFG.

wow, really? the disconnect continues it would seem. I just read the fine print and it's potentially more expensive than that. MC charge extra to GA members to reserve a seat for the derbies. However the next package up is $290 which reserves a seat for every game including derbies. MV plays derbies at Marvell so there is no extra charge for GA members.

Brisbane's packages are reasonable and a credit to the club. After a terrible previous season i was doubtful with what membership numbers will be like this year, however with a number of fresh faces around the club, positive news and a decent turn out of more than 2k to their first pre season game I am feeling confident they will go past 10k.
Hoping all clubs achieve decent numbers, even if you can't get to games, buy your clubs supporter membership.

With the independent HAL on its way I feel membership will now be a thing of the past. We should be seeing less members and focus more on general crowd numbers. 5k will be the new 15k, If its ok for expansion clubs to have low numbers then is good enough for everyone else Nix included.
