The dude came home from the World Cup, was rumored to join an A-League club, then literally did a Harold Holt and has just disappeared from all footballing circles.

What's happened to him? What's he doing with himself these days? Will we ever see him make an appearance of some form in the coaching world or even the television pundit world.

It's really disappointing, im a massive Viduka fan. But definitely saw it coming, he's not really into the superstar tag or media savy.

He could teach the next gen strikers so much. Shame he isnt interested.

^^ Exactly tsf. I read recently he knocked back offers during his heyday to become a walking billboard to say 'no thanks, it's just not me'.

Good on him for retiring with class. Sorely missed and a champion Socceroo to boot despite his less than flattering goal record for us.

My Melbourne connections advise me that he was recently at a Melbourne Council building discussing plans to build a large scale house in one of their 'leafy' suburbs they have there.

He has a house in Williamstown . What ever mark wants to do let him do it.
