Got to admit, $40 for 3 games for kids seems like a pretty good deal. You can choose which ones too, in case of weather etc. Can't see them getting a big crowd on a Thursday night against Wellington any next. Especially now that school is back next week. No, a good deal for kids (who play football) is 3 games for $0. Shouldnt be about trying to make money off the kids. Its all.about building the long term support. Getting the kids in now for free, getting them addidcted to.watching football and then when they become teenagers they start paying for memberships and bec9me fans for life.

Each junior in the area were eligible for a free membership or something along the lines of this.
Fans of these clubs may care to elaborate on how successful this was or what it's shortfalls were.

If that is the case they needed to continue it. Cant just do it for a couple of seasons and then change. These things can take up to a decade. You will never know the results until those kids become teenagers or adults. No doubt in some cases the kids may never return or wont become members once they become adults however there will certainly be some that will be life long converts. And that is invaluable.

The major milestone follows several years of consistent growth reinforcing the club’s strong connection to fans at the grassroots level.
The off-field success has mirrored the stable on-field performance, where under Kenny Lowe's stewardship, (from season 14/15) the team has seen its best win-loss ratio (34W, 19D, 21L) in Hyundai A-League history. Right now, the team sits two points off third-spot and a possible Asian Champions League berth.
Club CEO Peter Filopoulos said it was a major feat in the club’s history.
“I’d like to thank first and foremost our loyal members, for sticking by us, and of course our staff particularly our membership team of Joe Marafioti and Ghaz Ramli who under the guidance of COO Anthony Radich, have worked around the clock to hit the target and maintain the upward trajectory we have generated in recent years”.
“This is testament to everyone involved at the club, on and off the pitch that the ‘Glory Days’ are back as we strive to hit 10-thousand members and beyond as part of our four-year strategic plan” he said.
The membership tally compliments the boost in TV audiences for Glory matches which are up 15 per-cent on last year, while the match day attendance has also jumped by nearly 20 per-cent on last year to a current average crowd of 10,700.
“It’s already been a historic year for the club on so many levels, with our Perth Glory Women hosting a W-League Grand Final which set a new record crowd and not forgetting this year also marks the club's 20th anniversary; Exciting things will continue to happen at Perth Glory FC" Filopoulos added.
Glory will face off against Western Sydney Wanderers at nib Stadium this Saturday night where a win could elevate Glory to third on the ladder and be in the running to host a home final. '

The Mariners just sent out an open letter discussing the results of the A-League membership survey, and revealed a final count of 6,265 members - a record for the club. Shaun Mielekamp mentioned today on the CCM forum that they're aiming for 7,000+ for next season, and could probably get there:The annual club benchmarking report found that Central Coast Mariners have made the most impressive strides in improving its Members satisfaction to sit THIRD highest for overall satisfaction in the Hyundai A-League. The key findings for the Central Coast Mariners were:- * The Central Coast Mariners saw the biggest overall improvement in the Hyundai A-League
- * Central Coast Mariners have strong Member Satisfaction despite ladder position
- * The Central Coast Mariners earned the biggest improvement in ‘likelihood to renew’ with 85% of Members saying they are VERY likely to renew
- * The Central Coast Mariners were one of only two clubs (Sydney FC) that achieved strong improvement in Members Net Promoter Score (likelihood of Members to advocate on behalf of the Mariners)
- * The Central Coast Mariners recorded the biggest increase in Membership value and second highest rating overall in value of their Membership packages
- * The Central Coast Mariners achieved the biggest improvement and are ranked number one when it comes to ‘Member involvement with the club’

People who want a twelve month payment plan buy at this time of year. Roar will be offering that option for the first time and it was one of the strongest inputs the Supporters Federation took from fans when surveyed. The other big input was to be able to digitally transfer your membership for one game if you can't make it so you don't need to meet up with someone to transfer a physical card.

I've just seen the prices posted on facebook for Den membership and it's gone up to $300 for next season. Pretty sure it was $250 for this season so a bit of a price rise there. Not sure if that's the right move.

pretty much it varies by club though I'd guess. Roar used to do a payment plan that had to be completed by October so buy in June and pay in 5 months, august and its two payments. The 12 month plan I think was first used by WSW (might be wrong) looks to be popular, at least based on feedback.

Remarkable only for the fact they fucked this simple step up for the last three seasons so a step in the right direction.

Wanderers have done the same thing, well at least they were talking about auto renew and seat changes, it feels weird that the season isnt even over yet(well i suppose it is for the Roar and Wanderers) and renewal is already been talked about its great the roar have improved that kinda sounds ridiculous, the wanderers have always had the issue of membership packs being sent out way too late so the fact that renewals are starting now sounds like a step in the right direction(i hope)

No actual numbers out of Brisbane but I spoke with Kingsman the other day and they're very pleased with the renewal rate. "Well into the thousands" is about as good as a number gets at the moment. Feedback on Roar supporters forums backs that up as well, fingers crossed there's no stuff ups this winter to change all that ...

No discounts just better marketing. Renewals went on sale at the end of May whereas this time last year they wouldn't go on sale for another month due to the Cobb cluster fuck; but this year they've promoted it well, they had the players calling up members asking them to renew and look like they've picked up about half of those renewals reading between the lines. General sales only started on Monday and that will be the real test - anything less than 10,000 members will be a failure which means attracting 3-4,000 new members and most of last seasons.
