Amazingly ridiculous!

Hilarious, tell the bloke you'll let him try and play good football but don't give him time to try and change the squad. 

Time or money. Didnt they only bring in Sakho and Riedewald? Utterly hilarious and completely daft appointment if they were going to get someone like him then not back him. And then to get Roy in shows they were never committed to the idea at all just thought it was what the fans wanted to hear.

Sounds like it was less about results and more about what he'd done since he got there.
Rumours he had issues with a number of the more plodder-type players, and made them all do technical training which the players found condescending.
Think it was more this reason than anything as to why they sacked him.

Doesn't make it any less ridiculous though. Close to one of the worst statements you can make as a club that had just hired a guy to implement a 5 year plan. Football management is becoming a more and more horrible business by the day.
