Some parents at our local NPL side were having a discussion about keeping stats for their 15/16 yo offspring this year and were asking about what stats to keep. Does anyone have good links and/or ideas about keeping stats on an individual basis. When coaching I have tended to focus on team stats for specific criteria during a game rather than overall stats for an individual.
Interested in any ideas, discussions and examples.

In an ideal world, you could keep every stat in the book but I only keep individual stats on:

I got a lot of those statistics from playing Football Manager. The game has a lot of statistical analysis of individuals and teams so I got it from there.

Key Passes - related to a pass that ends up as a shot at goal whether it is on target or not. Assists isn't always a true reflection of a players ability because the person on the other end might not be a good finisher.
Key Tackles - Potentially goal saving tackles (more subjective).
