Fair enough. How it got reduced to six month in the first instance is strange if FIFA's own guidelines require 12-24 months in that circumstance.

But in a strange turn of events, the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) - of which the President and two board members are Australian and none Peruvian - overruled FIFA's sanction and imposed a 14-month ban.
CAS President John Coates is also President of the Australian Olympic Committe and CAS board member, Moya Dodd, is an AFC Executive and board member of Football Federation Australia. OOoooOOohhhh boy

14 month ban for being on the gear. Maybe he can train with an AFL team to keep fit.
