Marinos could be the answer - Richmond's goals this season: Ferrante 5, Hoffman 3, KOVACIC 2 ..

And I'd say Anderson was told he would get his chances at Gully this season but it hasn't happened so he's on his way..

Uskok played for Knights today. De Nittis came off the bench for Northcote. Dragicevic, Dubois and Camargo all started for South.

News from the tribunal is that the case has been adjourned for yet another week. This week's home clash against Richmond on Saturday night will be open to the public.

Perhaps looking to trial at MV?

He's not in the squad for today's game, Im guessing because of international clearance. Or maybe a lack of fitness runs in the family. Was really looking forward to seeing how he went

And he did it with jet-lag. He only arrived Wednesday morning and still hasn't had a proper sleep yet.

'Twas a terrible miss, mind. I liked his reaction to the off-side goal. Didn't have a clue about what was wrong with it. He said afterwards that he felt rusty - give him a good week of training and some decent sleep and he could be an outsider for the A-league next season (if he hangs around).

Dandenong Thunder appeal dismissed

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) announced today that an independent Appeals Board has dismissed an appeal made by Dandenong Thunder against the FFV Tribunal’s recent ruling against the club.

This was the third serious offence by the club and its supporters during the past 14 months involving spitting, assaulting and or verbally abusing referees.

FFV exercises a zero tolerance policy particularly with respect to offences involving match officials and Dandenong Thunder has been repeatedly fined and warned about this type of anti-social behaviour.

As a result of persistent anti-social behaviour, Dandenong Thunder will be penalised six points, an accumulated fine of $20,000 and its next two home matches are to be played behind closed doors.

In addition, the fines of $2,000 imposed by the independent Tribunal on two Dandenong Thunder club associates remain in place.

FFV CEO, Mark Rendell, said he was disappointed that a leading Victorian Premier League club continues to achieve high standards on the pitch but was unwilling to match these standards off the pitch, by supporting a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour.

“I strongly urge the club leadership to take action against the persistent so called ‘supporters’ who are dragging the club down again,” Mr Rendell said.

“FFV has broad community support for its zero tolerance programs and would not retreat in its approach to ensure all clubs provide a safe and family friendly environment.”

Latest statistics highlight that with the support of the players and clubs, FFV’s zero tolerance approach is starting to be fully understood by participants. As a result, along with the drop in red and yellow card offences, there is also an overall reduction in the number of players suspended, fines given and matters being heard by the FFV Tribunal / Appeals Board.

The Appeals Board is an independent tribunal and the panel was chaired by a Senior Counsel and two Barristers.

Dandenong Thunder has the right to appeal to Football Federation Australia.

The Dandenong Thunder home match lock-out will commence on Saturday 25 June against Northcote City at George Andrews Reserve.

Hopefully that'll teach your supporters to stop behaving like animals. If your club doesn't address the problem immediately and your supporters dont shape up, then I guess they'll keep getting harshly punished.

Big time LOLZ -- Ah well, shit happens.
Maybe the FFV can utilise our $20k donation to them and spend it towards improving refereeing standards. Pigs.

Assaults and abuse cost Dandenong Thunder $20,000 fine

From: AAP May 31, 2011

SPITTING, assaults and verbal abuse have cost the Victorian Premier League soccer club Dandenong Thunder, $20,000, six points and an order to play two games behind closed doors.

A Football Federation Victoria (FFV) appeals board found the club and its supporters were guilty of a third serious offence during the past 14 months in which match officials were harassed.

The club's appeal against the charges was dismissed.

In addition to the penalties imposed on Dandenong, two club associates were each fined $2000 for their role in the incidents following a match against Bentleigh Greens on April 16.

FFV chief executive Mark Rendell said he was disappointed the Thunder off-pitch behaviour did not match their high-playing standards.

"I strongly urge the club leadership to take action against the persistent so-called supporters who are dragging the club down again," Rendell said on Tuesday.

"FFV has broad community support for its zero tolerance programs and would not retreat in its approach to ensure all clubs provide a safe and family friendly environment."

The six-point penalty saw the Thunder drop from first place to fifth on the VPL ladder.

The Thunder will be forced to play upcoming home matches against Northcote City and Springvale White Eagles behind closed doors.

Dandenong can appeal the findings of the FFV appeals board to Football Federation Australia.

No surprise there. Didn't have the best time at South. Seemed to always be upset with the players.

Also no surprises that Dandy's appeal was dismissed. Just appalling really. I feel sorry for them and their fans. They did not deserve such a harsh punishment.
