It's amazing how every topic concerning GCU just turns into a barrage of anti-GCU posters. Real fans of football want every team to succeed off-the-pitch.

The game won't die because of "people like that". There are people who don't like your club, live with it. It's not the only club in Australia or the world which has that distinction.

There's a difference between not liking a club and wanting it to die. Unfortunately, too many people want GCU to die. And if it does, the NRL and AFL media will have a field day proclaiming it the end of football in Australia. Then watch attendances drop, a lack of quality players who want to come and play here and then watch the downward spiral.

North Queensland died and the end of football wasn't proclaimed. At least not any more than that has been proclaimed throughout your lifetime, or mine, or the lifetime of the oldest forumite on here. I don't want GCU to die - I don't particularly want any team to - but you can thank your owner/club for the image it built up in its first two years which means that if it were to pass on, I wouldn't much care.

It was the end of football for NQ.

At least for a very long time.

but when Clive Palmer stops doing things that embarrass your team is the day all the jokes will stop, has he even tried much at trying to get fans to join in the off season it will not fix itself the problems there at gcu

What a-league team do you support?

Too be honest, Clive has been very quiet this offseason while the rest of the club have been out and about.

I thought of Cassio before I posted, but Adama shades him for speed. For a 21 year old, Traore has excellent decision making, a good first touch and is a cracking shot. Plus as he is still 21 years old, he has not peaked and will get better, whereas Cassio is probabaly as good as he will be.

I'd be stoked if he naturalised, would solve our LB NT problems for the next 2-3 WC's

5 games I think. Most of which he'd served by the time the decision was finally made. 

Good player. Was genuinely exciting when he burst on the scene.
