+x+xWas at the game yesterday....both 1st team and ressies look reasonably solid. 3-1 win to firsts. DWH scored for ressies and Inman and O'shea for firsts. Can't remember who got the third ..maybe O'Donovan . As I say the team looked ok but still susceptible to a stuff up at the back. Also they are playing a solid pressing game but seem a little toothless in attack. We get the ball up there and pass around a lot with out shooting . Maybe that was simply a training game thing but it seems to be in all their games. Roy can score but looks like he needs another striker contributing. Inman and O'shea have been chipping in so I am not overly worried about us having a solid season but can't quite see us winning Championships as it stands . We lack a serious "dangerman" up front . That player who wins you games when they count . Miron - any sign of Holloway yesterday? Yeah he modelled the new strip with the other non starter, Hingert ,pregame ...he then sat on the bench in civvies lol . I assume he is not ready to come back yet. On another note Daniel Bowles dad stood beside me . Bowles has been out with a meniscus tear .He said Daniel was only back at training this week and he was surprised he was starting in a game so early . He played the full game and seemed Ok at the end . Anyone remember when you did a hammy and you were out for three weeks ? Now players seem to miss months at a time for any injury....(I know that is an exaggeration but you get my drift ) By the way ...I thought Mells looked ok for the Ressies ...no superstar but seemed reliable .

Would be nice to know what is happening with Amadi-Holloway. It's a real shame he hasn't been able to feature much in pre-season.

Having seen most teams in action now, and seen the results, I'm prepared to fly a kite and say that I think that Fowler has pegged his imports from the UK at too low a level. Whilst realising that this is not far off pin the tail on the donkey, my pick is that BR will struggle to rise above the middle of the table and a top 6 finish would surprise me.
I await your response, Waz. My hat is ready and willing to be eaten.

Whilst realising that this is not far off pin the tail on the donkey, my pick is that BR will struggle to rise above the middle of the table and a top 6 finish would surprise me. I await your response, Waz. Here it is ..... you’re entitled to your opinion, it’s neither wrong nor right until they start playing. Which won’t be long now. Personally I’m loving Inman, O’Shay, Aldred and Gillespie and the new reserve keeper looks mint - recon he’ll displace Young. Im not convinced by ROD. Im worried about Holloway - we might have imported the baggage he had in England. Ive seen nothing to be worried about yet - we’ve beaten SFC, Jets and Glory in preseason. I think they’ll finish 3rd or 4th but no higher unless ROD/Holloway come good. Im optimistic enough. But you should expect that right 😁

ROD reminds me of Berisha, will score goals in or out of form. If theres an area for concern though its the front two - Holloway hasn’t played since the second warm up game and RODs not in form. DWH is only just back from injury as well.
