Trivia. The Wa in wagyu is Japanese for Japanese, and the gyu is beef in Japanese. So wagyu beef is actually Japanese beef beef

Wagyu is delicious, but the method of developing Wagyu and its marbling horrendously bad for both you AND the cow that you are eating from an ancestral health perspective.

Eating grass-fed, free range beef is arguably tastier and inarguably better for your own health and wellbeing.

Bad for the cow?! I'd think they'd love to be massaged and drink beer!

Certainly, I would not recommend eating wagyu all the time, but same goes for a double quarter pounder at maccas... Personally, eating a 9+ wagyu was the greatest thing I have ever eaten. As bad as it may be health wise, it's worse for your pocket and for those reasons it's something I'd only eat once or twice a year...

I buy my grassfed beef in bulk direct from the farm - I've yet to taste any wagyu that tastes better.
