FT United 1-2 Wolves

What a joke of a referee. Apparently you can't jump for a header now. Pathetic.

On a lighter note, Sasha Petrovski is quite possible the most unfit footballer I have ever seen

2 disallowed goals and both looked completely wrong. That ref has a history of fucking us over. The linesman played his part as well

Then we cop a screamer with almost the lack kick of the game. That bloke could hit that same shot 100 times and he wouldnt hit it that well again

Luka's disallowed goal I thought did look offside, but the one from the corner was a joke. Still don't know what it was given for.

As for their winner, no way did we deserve to lose that, and like you said 99 times out of 100 he puts that high and wide.

All PDP clubs (except Northbridge) will be cut from the NSWPL for 2013.

It was decided at a meeting last night by Football NSW.

I guess Marconi were smart for not joining the PDP.

lets see if this happens. you seem quite confident about the extent of reforms for next yeah which i think are way off the mark.

in any event, if you believe those clubs have been axed because of pdp youve clearly got no idea.

furthermore, pdp was not setup to take on the associations, it was designed to creat a pathway for kids from a younger age bracket into youth in a structured program that focusses on development. nothin wrong with that and in fact to date, the progress has been pleasing. its a great concept and should continue. whether it does or not is another matter altogether.

sick of hearing about this associations v pdp mentality!

ralerasic,

Clearly you are clueless.

"Football NSW accepts the Premier Development Program"
"The Board of Football NSW has accepted a pilot Premier Development Program (PDP) for the 2012 season"

"Installed as a pilot program, the PDP will be monitored throughout the year and reviewed by FFA and Football NSW at the conclusion of the 2012 season. The Program will also be subject to the outcomes of Football NSW’s and FFA’s Competition Review for season 2013"

Your own link you provided contradicts your own post. Perhaps you better save it for the rumour mill topic :^o

It is relevant to NSWPL, whether it is simply a rumour or not.

I am NOT saying PDP is the main reason for any axing, BUT it is definitely a significant factor.

Aussiesrus, if you had any idea or interest in the NSWPL you will recall that FNSW only "accepted" the PDP on a temporary basis and simply becaue they had no choice. Only half of the NSWPL clubs joined out of sheer fear of this REVIEW, and their protection of their associations. So before you go calling people cluelesss, how about you conduct your own research. Ask yourself, WHY didn't Marconi join????

Kolner, please don't forget that I am on your side and also an APIA man. The Associations were livid that the PDP would detract from their beloved metro competitions, and low and behold their metro leagues have been relegated to a secondary status.

The Association V PDP saga is simply another feather to the Associations (and FNSW's) bow.

Kolner get your club to make their own enquiries.

Mate the war is on, and those ignorant people who thinks its not have another thing coming.

FNSW (and the associations) want complete control of the NSWPL.

the review is based on a number of matters. pdp is not a driving force behond the reforms by any stretch of the imagination and nowithstanding the attempts by some associations to make it out to be something it isnt. the fact that it was given trial status or a pilot program status is simply because the associations placed pressure on fnsw and they correctly said lets see how it goes. alex tobin has been reviewing pdp games and so far the feedback has been positive.
marconi had their own reasons and good luck to them. if they thought theyre positioning themselves again good luck to them however if non assoc based are going to be excluded, marconi also fall into that category and simply not joining pdp wont be their saving grace.

at the end of the day we all knew metro's was a waste of time. sorry but its true. theres no pathway there and to the best of my knowledge, metro comps havent adhered to the curriculum set down by ffa that pdp as an example is subject to. if theyve been relegated to secondary status then so be it.
in reality the cream of the crop are playing sap, pdp has some good kids but to be honest, our focus has been on development so to make it out to be an elitist comp is far from the truth. and so far, were achieving what we set out to do.

no decision has been made about next year although details of the various proposals will become known to the clubs in the next month or so.

for what its worth, and not cause of my allegiance to my club, i think we should leave the PL as is, leave youth as is, retain pdp but im all for capping youth fees and i firmly believe that associations should subsidise local players rego's of locals who are playing for any rep club within their boundaries be it a pl club, sl club or the like.

ralerasic,

If I was you I would be more concerned about being 3 points above Parra FC in the club championship after 4 rounds. That's the relegation zone.

I'm a City supporter and can't see FNSW trying to punt those involved in the PDP simply for being involved especially since FNSW have accepted the program. Too bad if associations can't attract players for their metro leagues. Perhaps they need to get some decent coaches. The PDP is a great initiative provided by NSWPL clubs that know what is seriously lacking by associations in the way of coaching and training to develope young players to NSWPL standards.

The more kids that get exposed to higher level coaching techniques the better for everyone.

tbh im not to sure about this. i actually said this once the spartans were actually promoted to the super league, that blacktown city will be in massive trouble if spartans are ever promoted to the premier league (little did i know that was only one season later). its sad whenever an established team is in danger but eventually city will go down and never recover. i dont think it will be this season, unless they are forced such as these pdp rumours. but eventually they will. spartans have the bdsfa behind them, city dont. schembri will be a massive lost for city when he goes, and imo, only genc will save them if he takes up schembris role, but he will move on to bigger things for him.

mltezr,

If you look at cities first grade, under 20's then under 18's you will see they are all top 4 sides and the players have come through the city system. City have a very good development system which ensures the clubs success for many years to come. City employ only top quality coaches and utilise excellent training techniques.

BDSFA and Spartans...pfff rubbish...

Next city V spartans derby will be at cities homeground and you can bet spartans will get handed another football lesson.

I'm still trying to figure out just how the referee saw a foul for that first disallowed goal for us. Apparently it was for Luka on the keeper, but saw nothing at the game and saw even less of anything in the highlights.

As for the 2nd disallowed goal, watching it live I thought Luka was offside but watching those highlights it looks like h starts his run from an onside position after the ball is even played.

Absolute bullshit.

Didn't see anything on the first goal either, but you can't claim it wasn't offside on the 2nd because you can't see Luka when the ball is played. All the NSWPL cameras zoom in way too much so you can never tell whether it's offside or not

Not wanting to get invovled in any arguments guys, but the rumours continue about the makeup of NSWPL 2013. Apparently this is it:

Macarthur
Northbridge
Sutherland
Manly
Nepean
Sydney Uni (eastern surburbs)
St George
Gladesville Spirit

Apparently they haven't decided on who represents Canterbury Assoc (APIA??? or assocation team), Southerm Districts (take your pick), Bankstown (likely to be Berries), Blacktown (likely to be Spartans) and Granville (likely to be Parramatta FC).

Not sure where Olympic fit as they have in the past been part of Eastern Surburbs association.

years ago there were two types of football clubs Association and federation clubs....recently FNSW has started forcing federation and association clubs to merge.....whi??? apparently to give a path for the youth in an area.....

doesn't work to well to date.....Penrith panther were an excellent club who developed loads of local players, but they were forced to merge with Nepean....nepean association have been mismanged and played favourites for 2 or 3 decades, so for the community in penrith, hawkesbury, and surrounding area's we have had no representation in the NSWPL, NSWSL or NSWDIV1, NSWDIV2 for years....
