How can arsenal compete for titles when arsene is buying fuck all. Arsenal is linked with good players but not influential wc players. Poorly Run IMO.
In other news. If we do manage to sign, Erding, The Zog, Sissoko/Matuidi and Mbengue i have no doubt we will be competing for Europe next season.

Edited by seriously: 27/6/2011 04:03:19 PM We're linked with players and interested in players that will improve our team, I don't see what's wrong with that.

Arsenal should have been snapping at the heels of Chelsea to sign that Lukaku lad from Anderlecht. He needs new Henry/Drogba type figure. Without 1, arsenal will never win another title (under Arsene anyhow).

Too true on Newcastle being the odd man out in that Sissoko rumor. He might be French, but he's not injured constantly and shit, so they won't sign him ;)

Up front isn't where we need to strengthen heavily anyway. We are looking to buy both Chris Samba and Gary Cahill, 1 if not both of those will be coming in and both are proven performers in the EPL, but of course we should go and spend 25m on an 18 year old striker, and then people will wonder why we didn't buy any new defenders.

Arsene paying 18m for Mata? 30m for Lukaku? This is the guy who just spend 1m on a L1 defender to save money. You guys are nuts.

He bought him to eventually take over from Sagna. Nothing to do with saving money, just a free transfer + the 1m in compensation because he's 19. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 27/6/2011 04:50:26 PM

Javier Pastore has claimed his agent is in talks with Barcelona.
Can't see it happening considering Palermo want 50m for him.

I'd lol if Barca paid 50m for Pastore but wouldn't pay that much for Fabregas.

Arse come out saying they are prepared to sell Cesc. Now it's just up to Barca to stump up the cash. [/dejavu]

[/dejavu] Nothing's changed really, it's not even worthy of being called news tbh and the attempt at some kind of big story by the BBC is just poor. We've always been prepared to sell him if Barca came in with an offer for what he's worth, stumbling block is that Barca can't afford that. Norwich City are being linked with a £2 million bid for Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster. The 23-year-old was the subject of a £1.5 million bid from Celtic last week which was rejected by Newcastle.
24-year-old Argentina international keeper Sergio Romero is on Manchester City's radar. Romero played in all of Argentina's World Cup ties in South Africa and the AZ Alkmaar keeper would be an ideal replacement if Shay Given moves on. It would also create serious competition for current No 1 Joe Hart
Polish goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak, who is on his way out of Manchester United, is reportedly wanted by Yorkshire based club and Manchester United’s fierce rivals Leeds United.
Ralf Rangnick confirmed on Monday that Schalke would stick with their existing crop of goalkeepers rather than taking on Lehmann, who made his name with the Royal Blues before spells with AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Stuttgart.
