I'd like to think that's true, but I doubt it.

This is the first I've heard of the Sunderland take-over. Can Benj elaborate? Or is it news to him too?
10mil for Barry seems a little steep still, I still dont' think rafa should pay it. That said, if he's seriously going to spend 15mil on JOHNSON :-S

Poor Andrei can't live off 40k GBP a week?? WTF!?!?!!?

It is simple, Rafa can make up and kiss Alonso on the forehead, thererfore we dont need to worry about a replacement ie. Gareth Barry who is shit. We need a winger and a striker would be nice. If we got 20mil to spend than I think we need to buy more and sell less (for added depth). The only players we should sell are Lucas, Dossena and maybe Voronin.

There is No need for Johnson however...We can get Johnson for about 9mil because Pompey still owe us 7mil for Crouch transfer. I dont think we can afford any other players like Lennon or Silva -we had good depth this season, so why do we need them ?

...Also I am confident Tevez would be playing at Anfield next season.

Don't like Thiago Motta - he was hopless for Atletico, but Inter would benefit greatly from Milito.

Im actually a fan of Motta. Like the look of him at Barca, but was too injury prone, even at Madrid.

Milito will either be a huge success or a massive flop, ala David Suazo. Shame Acquafresca(ultimate name) keeps getting passed around. Hopefully he does great at Genoa.

Motta never got a chance to prove himself in Spain, he was practicaly in the Hospital ward the whole time for his stay at Atletico. In Italy he has excelled for Genoa and is still only young, I think that if he can perform for
Inter how he has at Genoa then he will be a shoe in for the WC squad

Motta probably wont start for Inter and he isn't the player that they need...They need a creative, attacking midfielder to help the supply. Milito should fit in well and give Zlatan the assistance he needs. They'll probably line up like this:
Julio Cesar
Macion--Chivu--Cordoba--Maxwell/Santon
Stancovic--Cambiasso--Muntari
New Signing (Deco)?
Ibrahimovic--Milito

Btw Quaresma and Crespo are set to join Genoa and Diego has officially moved to Juve to be their second signing of the summer.

Good piece of business.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

It was only a matter of time before Chelsea or someone big made a move for Zhirkov, especially after the way Arshavin's been playing.

Liverpool Players Tell Rafael Benitez To Sign Michael Owen

Michael Owen could be set for a shock return to Anfield, according to a report in the Sunday People.

The British tabloid claims that senior Liverpool players have urged manager Rafael Benitez to sign the Newcastle United striker who is out of contract at St James’ Park.

The players reportedly believe that Owen is worth a gamble, particularly as he is available on a free transfer, and that he would be warmly welcomed back to the club by the fans.

This would be a great move IMO, I think we can use him off the bench...

...Other good news today was that our Yank owners are looking to sell their baseball and ice hockey teams in america to focus fully on liverpool, they are also looking for investors to fund a new stadium at stanley park :d

By the sounds of it Liverpool have pulled out of the race for Tevez if their after Owen. I can't see Liverpool playing a 3 pronged attack and i cant see Tevez, Torres or Owen being happy to settle as bench players

Im pretty sure Owen wont mind being on the bench, we can use him as a super sub and more importantly as a decent injury replacement for when torres is injured.

Owen has also been linked to Spurs, where I dont see him getting much game time ahead of other good forwards.

He has suprisingly been linked to Everton, IMO this will never happen - Liverpool - Everton, you know the rivalry...

Tevez and Barry just got signed by Man city. for 42 million so thats 208 Million they have left this summer. LOL. Ridiculous. it also looks like they will be going for Eto and Kaka yet again. They will probably get Eto, but i think a KaKa move is more likely than before.
