TBH I wouldn't want Ribery if it was for "crazy money". I would love Aguero but I don't really see the need

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

arsene wenger wants to spend 6 of his 38m made by sales on wesley sneijder - daily mail
arsenal are a great team even with so many players out injured - nasri, walcott, rosicky etc. but they do need a few more players to be able to compete with manutd, chelsea and liverpool this season...

If Sneijder is sold for only 6 mil then Wenger would have made signing of the season. Sneijder is an absolute class player

Lovenkrands, Campbell and Carney all to Newcastle according to various reports.
Newcastle have had a 600 k bid for Solvi Ottesen accepted as well. Things looking slightly better.

By Carney and Campbell do you mean David Carney and Sol Campbell?

So that would be two players who nobody else is prepared to sign, and a third who can't get a game at Sheff Utd. How the mighty have fallen.
First two should do a decent job at CCC level though. Carney, jury is still out but hard to argue with how he plays in the NT.

He is so good at the NT level (remember him marking Messi out of the game!?!?!) but seems to struggle with long ball teams. Hopefully we sign him and he shines for us on the left wing.

Guest wrote:But tbh nobody else wanted Bent ;) :p Except Hull and Stoke. There's also the fact that whilst Sol is available free, it took a month of negotiating to get Spurs down to 10 million up front for Bent. That 10 million may well have scared a couple of clubs off. As for the Sol signing - if he's coming in to replace Sideshow Bob then it'll be a great move for a year. If he's coming in to replace Taylor (as he goes to Everton, or wherever), then a Sol-Sideshow Bob back pairing could be extremely flat-footed.

Nightclub obsessed waste of talent, Sunderland to Hibs. No fee mentioned, but whatever it was was too much.

This could be Stokes last chance at Hibs, had an excellent time when he was on loan at Falkirk a few years ago. He was held in high regard at Arsenal during that time, hope he knuckles down and makes the most out of the potential he has.

With some of these prices for average defenders liverpools splurge on Glen Johnson actually now seems reasonable.
