Was reading Wsw forum. Really disappointing to see the amount of scalping going on. Sounds like only away fans that will get tickets will be members

Yeah I saw. its horrible for true fans etc. the only positive I can see if any is that this kind of demand for tickets is outstanding for WSW and the league. but jeez.... one simple ebay search returns 60 results :O and there is more on gumtree.... http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=west+sydney+semi+final&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Does anyone know if there will be a minutes silence or appreciation before the game next week for Rod Allen ?
Would be a nice thing to do one would think.
As a Sydney and A-League fan in general i can appreciate the hard work this bloke has done in you're start up season. Would be nice to watch Parra standing as one giving a minutes applause before kick off.
Thoughts?

Hope so it would be the respectful thing to do. There was a good turnout at the funeral with a guard of honour! nice!

As much as I like the RBB, there is no way you could have a minute silence at Parramatta, too many idiots in there.

And a semi final in front a full house with a GF place on the line. It's a touch different.

I just came across a Fin Review article that summarises the financials for GWS' first year of competition. Would be interesting to know how WSW compare. Sponsorship would be way down I would think. Their total revenue was $30.7m made up of:- - $17.26m allocation from the AFL - $2.58m from gate receipts - $1.7m from membership and merchandise - $7.7m from sponsors - $1.5m from Government grants. They made a small loss of $176k over the year. http://www.afr.com/p/lifestyle/sport/giants_score_in_afl_grants_JIdj69xvyKwjisOy2PiQ2JEdited by gyfox: 16/4/2013 08:02:03 PM

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Thank you Wanderers for a great year, can't wait for our next season. What a ride, the view looks great from the top of the league,

Feels weird, not even that upset that we lost the GF. Would've been more upset had we lost the GF and not won the Premiership. Guess I'm still too over the moon with our whole season to be disappointed about one loss, no matter how big the game may or may not be.

yeah absolutly a great season and exceeded everything i ever expected. at the start of the season i said finishing 6th would be like winning it. and to actually win the league and make the final, was something i never expected. well done to everyone involved and may it continue.

Yeah I mean this season has given us more than we ever could've imagined for our first year, so doesn't really seem right to get all down about 1 loss. That's why the reaction post match from the RBB was so good I thought, no one seemed down about the loss and just kept singing.

At the start of the season we were completely written off  To win the Premier's Plate exceeded all expectations. We can't be disappointed at all. If anyone deserves the toilet seat its CCM and Arnie after their 3 consistent years. CCM have had our number all year, despite our snatch and grab victory in Gosford.
It'll be interesting now to see Popa's recruitment in the off season and actually having an entire offseason with a full squad this time.

The grand final result was hard to stomach, but it was a well deserved win to the Mariners. Congrats.
My dissapointment has mostly passed and right now I'm feeling so proud of this club.
From the humble beginnings a year ago, so much has been achieved. From the first fan forums in April 2012, to the announcement of the name/colours, to forming the RBB, to the first trial game at Cook Park where there were just 50 RBB and 3500 fans, to look at where were are now as a club and fanbase is phenomenal. It's been a dream.
We've made the grand final, won the Premiers Plate, gone on a 10 game winning streak. The crowds have grown, the team is playing amazing football, the club and fans are famous. We are here to stay and there are many memories ahead. One day we'll win a grand final and it will feel so sweet, because we also know what it feels like to loose one.
What a season. What a club. The Wanderers have moved the A-league into a new era on so many fronts.
