Pretty much guarantees that members will already account for last year's average attendance with still a couple of thousand memberships to sell and pre purchase match tickets and walks up to add.

No it doesn't, bums on seats create match attendance records. But hopefully crowds will stay strong, regardless of on field success.

No it doesn't, bums on seats create match attendance records. But hopefully crowds will stay strong, regardless of on field success. Bums on seats are a result of people buying tickets. In this case 14,000 Wanderers fans have already gone to the trouble of buying season tickets. To achieve last years average attendance requires just under 90% of these ticketed members to attend each game. Its quite normal for the yield to be between 80% for low importance or wet games and 96% for sellouts meaning that last years attendance is pretty much guaranteed. Further to that if the cap is put at 16,000 as suggested by some the Wanderers can expect their average attendance to be 14,250 plus a contribution from ticket pre-sales and walk ups. Its possible that the average could be 16,500 or higher. Edited by gyfox: 27/7/2013 07:49:39 PM

RBB brought great atmosphere to campbelltown. Have been to a few sydney fc vs rams or sydney fc pre season games at campbelltown, all in better weather. and none of them had anything on tonight.

Poljak was impressive in the first half. Won the ball, won fouls, knew when to play it safe and tried a few killer passes. Minnicon in he 2nd half was great! Close to MOTM for me, Hersi's cameo was good too. Both goals were pretty clinical.
Who was the tiny, tiny kid that came on wearing number 11? he was amazing! Smallest bloke on the park, got stuck in for challenges and won most, drew fouls on each challenge he lost. Also didn't turn the ball over when he got it either. Very impressive stuff.

He's not listed with the Wanderers NYL team on Wikipedia, but that's surely out of date, especially as NYL squads aren't announced for a little while yet?

He was a trialist tonight, but I'd have to assume he'd be signed up for the NYL based purely on what he showed tonight.

Nick Ward is fucking atrocious. That first half was the worst performance I've ever seen in a Wanderer shirt. If Popa has any sense at all he'll send the useless fucker on the first plane to Melbourne and let John Aloisi take him.

Nick was played in a position he has never played before and was MILES better than the monster tard who took his place. That kid did nothing right. You lot could do much worse than signing Nick (preferably on a marquee contract). He is after all, still the most accomplished player ever to leave the league.
