Ferdinand chants Train racism.3 Anti-semitic Spurs chants/chants of 'murderers' during Hillsborough silence
If it was any other club they'd be playing to empty stadiums. If it was an Italian club we'd be all 'typical Italy'.
Why don't the FA do anything about it? It's not 'one-off' incidents with a 'minority' of fans. It's entire bays bellowing this racist, offensive shit.

It is a minority but I have to admit, Chelsea have a 'larger minority'.

Disgraceful. Chelsea FC wrote:STATEMENT ON MOMENTS OF RESPECT Posted on: Sun 15 Apr 2012 Chelsea Football Club is extremely disappointed that a very small minority of fans embarrassed the club today by not honouring the moment's silence before kick-off. Chelsea FC believes all moments of respect should be honoured and today we pay our full respects to all those that suffered as a result of the Hillsborough disaster 23 years ago. The club will be working with Wembley and the FA to identify those responsible and if we are provided with evidence that season-ticket holders or members have been involved we will take the strongest possible action against them. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2736577,00.html

The Age wrote:Chelsea lash fans after Hillsborough snubApril 16, 2012 - 7:57AM Chelsea lashed out at fans who embarrassed the English Premier League club by disrupting the minute's silence to mark the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster ahead of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham. Sections of the Chelsea support jeered and chanted as the two teams stood solemnly around the centre circle at Wembley to honour the victims of the 1989 disaster which claimed the lives of 96 Liverpool fans. Referee Martin Atkinson eventually cut short the minute as the noise from the Chelsea end continued. "Chelsea Football Club is extremely disappointed that a very small minority of fans embarrassed the club today by not honouring the moment's silence before kick-off," Chelsea said in a statement. "Chelsea FC believes all moments of respect should be honoured and today we pay our full respects to all those that suffered as a result of the Hillsborough disaster 23 years ago." Chelsea interim manager Roberto Di Matteo also voiced his dismay. "We are extremely disappointed that a minority or just a few fans decided to speak or sing during the minute's silence," Di Matteo said. Chelsea beat Tottenham 5-1 to set up a final next month against Liverpool. http://www.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/chelsea-lash-fans-after-hillsborough-snub-20120416-1x24q.html

Pretty weak statement imo. No apology, no desire to say they'll try and find out/ban who the culprits were.
Disgraceful behavior from those 'fans'. 96 people died and you can't even keep your gob shut for 60 seconds in respect? Scum.

I sat near the main group, it was disgusting behaviour by a few mainly teenage(but not all) fans. If it had of been even a large minority then i would have left. Mostly these idiots were showing off and many Chelsea fans were telling them to shut up

Typical Chelsea fans, tbh. I was around them long enough in England to know that 99% of them are absolute scum who think they're God's gift to football.

Ah. I swear that wasn't in the initial statement :S Yeah it wasn't, initially it just had the stuff above it, but then they added the last bit. Glad to see that.

I've never thought that clubs should be punished because of the actions of their fans, but that is absolutely disgusting. That's the single most disrespectful thing I have ever seen at a football match. Someone must be held responsible for this and if it's the club then so be it, it might teach their disgusting cunts they call fans a lesson.

Honestly, it's ridiculous that this match was on so late. I think that played a huge part in this happening. I mean Chelsea have some cunt fans, but a day in the pub wouldn't have helped.

I don't think what those fans did was right. Poor form.
This isn't a troll comment or anything but why does the Hillsborough Disaster get more recognition then other football tragedies?
I've often wondered why we always hear about this particular one and nothing about the Bradford City stadium fire or the one at Bolton.
Again this isn't a troll comment, just something I've often wondered.

Fucking strip of them of all their money, players, boots, grass, goals, posts, seats, coaches, grounds and shirts. Burn all of Fulham and piss on the ashes

Edited by slygoat36: 16/4/2012 04:04:11 PM Simply because nobody has ever been held responsible for what happened. Hence the 'Justice for the 96' campaign.

Not just nobody held accountable, but the disgusting accusations levelled at the fans, and the notion that they were responsible (an idea which still permeates a lot of fans minds today)

That was disgraceful behaviour from a minority of Chelsea support, but it's very naive to try and paint all the Chelsea supporters with the same brush All clubs have their collection of moron supporters (Liverpool have chanted to Man U about the Munich disaster and I'm pretty sure Man U has chanted about Hillsborough as well) and generally the majority show the contempt that's deserved to the idiot minority I think what also made this situation worse was the late kick off (Believe it was 6pm locally) so you had a bunch of drunk supporters, who also had a legitimate annoyance with the way the fixtures worked out, stacking up some massive games for Chelsea with not much turn around but those idiots should have saved their contempt for the FA not blaming Liverpool (Who are well within their rights to not play on that day) and ruining the minutes silence

Was I the only one who heard it and immediately didn't think it was a minority? I heard it on my stream loud and clear and Martin Tyler was talking over it. Didn't seem to me like it was a handful of 'supporters'.
