The person here directly claimed that they did not have a source, whilst the other thread claimed to have heard it somewhere, why is that thread less valid than this one?
Also, Ange said his mind only began to wander to other jobs after McKay already went to Korea, and it was about 2 months earlier that they failed in signing him for Brisbane. So no, he didn't fail to sign him as to wait and sign him for Melbourne Victory.
McKay has also directly stated he'd only play for Brisbane Roar in the A-league.
As such, this is a baseless rumour that goes against the available facts, has no source and should have been closed days ago. Case closed.

He also said he wasnt thinking about other jobs during finals.
Then he said he'd decided to come to Melbourne a month ago.
He said she said, doesnt have a place in professional sport. Matt McKay does not play for your club, and you dont support the club this rumour states he's being linked to. So what do you care? Worry about your own club.
