Yes. Gallop is a great CEO. For whoever said the handling of the Stewart saga was poor, you should have seem him that night. Its lucky for him the extent of that night has been covered up in pro NRL reporting & a campaign against Gallop by Manly . Should have been another NRL scandal.

He's been great at consolidating the league. But IMO what the a-league still needs is growth, not something Gallop is known for

Gallop is great in front of the media. But he hasn't done a good job for the NRL. Look at the page before with my response.

No Schwab, no Fraser, no Kimon and no Gallop.

The only ones that I have heard that could be considered to replace Gorman and/or Buckley are Tana and Wilt. I'm sure that there are other worthy candidates but most of the ones mentioned shouldn't be let anywhere near a position where they can do real harm - as opposed to what they have already done.

Id take Gallop. Think he is has done a good job with NRL. Yes he has flaws but as people like to forget there is no one that doesn't have flaws. Would be a huge signing in the Australian sporting landscape.

Not the man to lead us forward. My post from the previous page.

How about his failed tv negations, the amount of time it took to implement the commission, not realizing GC were 50 million in debt, his inability to make the tough decisions in regard to having to many Sydney based clubs. Has delayed expansion in WA and Qld. Not being able to expand the game in Victoria. Just off the top of my head.

1) Failed TV negotiations? Are you aware of something the rest of the country isn't? All indications are that the NRL will get a big deal.

2) The time it took to get the commission up and running had absolutely nothing to do with Gallop. It was political maneuvering between the two main states.

3) In your opinion. At most the Sharks should have been canned but it might still prove to be a great move to retain them.

4) Delayed expansion has been deliberate. The game hasn't had the talent or resources to thin itself. Gallop has consolidating until the next TV deal and now given it a real time frame. Contrary to your opinion, his handling of expansion will prove to be terrific and in direct contrast to how our code has handled it.

5) Storm are doing fine. Not sure what your definition of success is but it has been a much greater success than the A-League expansion, in crowd numbers, on-field success and still being alive. AFL's expansion in to Gold Coast and GWS thus far has been abysmal but I don't see the criticism coming in to them.

To answer other criticisms in this thread, to say that Gallop hasn't made big decisions or taken the game forward is ludicrous. Doesn't anyone remember what the NRL was like a decade ago? Doesn't anyone recall Gallop making the biggest decision in Australian sport?

As for the handling of the Brett Stewart case, Brett Stewart should be in jail. How Brett Stewart looks people in the eye and tells them he was hard done by I will never know. The media and the club conspiracy to make him a victim is absolutely laughable. To say that Gallop treated him harshly is completely wrong - he should've personally escorted him to a cell.

Brett Stewart was not found Guilty so he shouldn't be in jail. You don't send innocent people to jail.

1). For the previous TV deal the AFL got 780 million to the NRL's 500 million. Huge failure by David and co.

2). So the head of the NRL couldn't handle political infighting. Lucky for us football in Australia has none of that.

3). Perhaps it is my opinion. But some teams are struggling to find sponsors and have poor crowds. It is sad but there is not enough space for them all. Some of these teams need to be relocated or culled.

4). Delayed expansion will prove costly in regards to the negotiating of the new TV rights deal. Gallop has stated that there will be no expansion in the initial years of the new tv deal. I beg to differ in regards to player talent. The Qld cup is of high quality and could supply several players and the under 20's comp is spitting out many new players.

5). The storm are not doing fine. They have been around for 15 years and already the Rebels have a bigger market share than them.
