I have been super careful with my YT pulls, I didn't understand it to start with but now if they aren't under 16 years of age with at least highish skill maxes or at least inadequate overall they don't get in the team. Does mean I run on the bare bones of a team (I haven't had the max number of players for ages now) but they are all good players (minimum 5 stars) other than whoever is keeping (haven't pulled a decent keeper yet...)

Will look at setting up a YT league today or tomorrow (need to check on my last match!)

Won my friendly 2-1. Had 7, yes 7 chances to his one, and still had to rely on an 84th min winner.

Playing my first international friendly ATM in the Netherlands. Locked at 0-0 after 15.

The 10 man Olympic lead 2-0 at Half-Time. My 18 y.o striker scored the opener, a little ironic as I only got into contact with this Dutch fellow after outbidding him for this striker. Second goal was scored by the divine SP taker from the spot. Will be tough to hold on for another 45 with 10 men.

OK Youth League started, 4 players only sorry guys! It is called 442 Youth League 1 and has an ID of 318917. Start date of the first match is Monday 12th of October. So if you have a match at the end of this week you will be able to get an extra match of training for your team.

Mine ends on Monday though...How does that work?

Ended up hanging on for a 2-1 win last night. He played a fairly decent team, I played 2 first teamers, one of which was taken off at half time.

In miraculous news, my magnif PM and exc winger will be back from injuries for this weekend's match against the leaders. The winger was supposed to spend another 3 weeks on the sideline. :-s

Anyway, for this week, pressing and defensive mentality FTW.

I now have 2 youth products playing in my 2nds team, and are good enough to eventually take over the reigns of my first teamers. Although they are both 18 :p

Have to admit, I'm struggling to maintain interest in Hattrick atm. I'm still setting up match instructions, and checking on my team, etc, but not as often, and without the same enthusiasm. Understandable considering we're just getting beat each week. I'm not gonna let it go, but yeah, I can understand why people lose interest after a season or two.

Hang in there Funky. First season in Div.5 is always a very tough one. Last season for a little period there I was a bit over it after a few heavy defeats and I thought relegation was imminent. A few trips to the transfer market changed my season around. With one game left in the season, I grabbed 6th spot, got a play off against a bot and won. This season I'm doing much better than last, should easily stay in Div.5.

Don't lose hope. If I can survive, surely you can too.

Needed a good winger for this afternoons match, had my eye on a 30 year old Formid, going for 228k. Was about half an hour to his deadline, so I picked up my bass to pass the time. Got into it, completely forgot about him, until about 20 seconds after he had passed, for 228k. FUUUCK.

EDIT: BWAHAHAHA. There's not another winger going within my price range before the match starts. FUCK. MY. LIFE.
