Bosh staying in Miami isn't the biggest surprise. Lebron going back to Cleveland means Bosh can now get max money in Miami.
Looks like Pau Gasol could be heading to Chicago.

Was gonna put some money on Cavs to win the NBA last week. Decided to do it closer to the start of the season. Could've got 14/1, best I'm being offered anywhere now is 4/1. :(

Does anyone here think the Boomers are a chance for the Silver Medal at the next Olympics.
This Boomers teams is like the Socceroos Golden Generation, where we have players playing at top level clubs.

Absolutely horrendous. Definitely gave me an erection. Poor bloke's going to be in therapy for a while after that one. I feel sorry for the bloke and it was a horrifying injury but the #PrayForPaulGeorge thing was a bit over the top I thought. It's a broken leg, not something potentially terminal.

So Love to the Cavs for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future 1st round pick looks on once the Cavs are able to actually trade Wiggins on August 23.

George's break was a lot like Kevin Ware's injury in the 2013 NCAA tournament Ware transferred away from Louisville to focus on his recovery so it looks like PG could join D-Rose on the long term sideline list

Like Lebron's 2 year deal, it's all about getting as much money as he can.

Quote:NBL's million-dollar fee likely to sink Canberra's bid for new team A bid to revive a Canberra team in the National Basketball League appears doomed to fail, with the NBL cutting financial support for its expansion program and imposing a $1 million license fee on new clubs wanting to enter the competition. A Canberra group of basketball and business identities had banded together over the past few months to work towards a potential bid to enter the 2015-16 NBL season. But Fairfax Media has learned that several of the key players in the Canberra proposal are ready to pull back from the project after the NBL made significant changes to its expansion plans in the past fortnight – notably introducing a $1 million participation fee for expansion clubs. The NBL had outlined its aim to have four new teams enter the 2015-16 season, courting five regions in particular: Canberra, Brisbane, Tasmania, New Zealand and Melbourne. But there are now doubts over NBL expansion, given the league has sacked consultant Graeme Watson, the former Test cricketer who had been managing it. Watson, who had overseen similar sporting expansion projects in the A-League and AFL, refused to comment on his dismissal. While NBL chief executive Fraser Neill has publicly assured there will be an expansion team in Brisbane, it's understood the NBL board has given him a directive to focus resources on stabilising existing clubs in the eight-team competition rather than directing any more financial support towards expansion. NBL chairman Nick Marvin has since written to the Canberra group encouraging it to continue with a formal application. A decision on any new clubs is due by October-November – giving each franchise a year to set up their operations. But the NBL looks to have effectively killed off any realistic hope of a formal Canberra bid with a $1 million roadblock – ruling that expansion teams will be required to pay the seven-figure license fee. A Canberra bid was always going to be ambitious in the city's small but crowded sporting market. But sources have revealed the additional license fee would almost certainly put it out of reach. The club would also need to find a minimum $1 million for annual operating costs, although that could blow out to as much as $3 million. There had been strong initial interest in reviving a Canberra franchise, given the Canberra Cannons were a foundation NBL club in 1979 and won three titles before their collapse in 2003. While the Canberra working group, which includes influential members of PricewaterhouseCoopers, has not officially disbanded, support is waning. The group had been conducting research to explore the viability of an NBL club, including the potential of taking some of the 22 home games per season to surrounding areas such as Wagga. The group had been working towards a community-based business model, ruling out private ownership. The NBL board is set to meet on August 4, which is likely to include an update on expansion. Other criteria set by the NBL for expansion teams include: financial stability in the short and long-term, including start-up capital and bank guarantees; membership and sponsorship plans; a suitable venue, with a lease agreement; support from local government. This guy is 7ft and only 17 years old and wants to play for australia, potential number 1 draft pick. Ive never seen a basketball player of his size have those kind of skills all over the court.

Ive known about him for a while. He is a Kevin Durant / Kevin Garnett clone. I reckon the Boomers might be due for a medal in Rio. You got him, Dante Exum, Ben Simmons, Patty Mills,Bogut,Dellavadova,Baynes,Bairstow,Motum, plus the Euro guys in Ingles,Jawai, David Andersen. They gotta pretty good medal chance.

If he declared for the draft next year, him and Simmons would probably go 1 and 2.
