Max Todd started for a Hibernian XI which was to be a mixture of first team players and U20s. Subbed at half time with them up 1-0, he was not involved in the goal.
Just remembered Hibs are a Scottish championship side, weird. Still he is 18 and if he can break through this season and they get promoted (most likely through play-offs) he will be doing pretty well. Probably will choose Scotland if he is ever good enough though.

Fuck dutch teams seam to start their pre season against some mediocre opposition, I feel like I should move over for a couple of years and play pub football as you would have a decent chance of coming up against and eredivise side. Anyway Sainsbury scored!!! A very important goal in a tight 18-0 win. VVV had an 11-0 win. Cooper scored twice in the first half and Ascroft played the second http://www.vvv-venlo.nl/nl/nieuws/2014-7-5-VVV-03-Uit-Wedstrijdverslag

was looking to see if Quinn was playing in NAC Breda's friendlies which he is unfortunately isn't and ran into this. Paul Katsetis is trialing there. He played in their most recent game, a 10-0 win coming on in the second half. He didn't score but it was 6-0 in the half he did play so he could have done all right. Hopefully he might break through this year and hopefully he will choose to play for Australia. Just going off his twitter, he does mention Australia and supporting us at the world cup but also Greece and he did go back to Greece for the break so I don't know. Maybe slightly more towards Greece but before any senior appearances I don't think you can really tell. Quote:NAC test Aussie Greek 04/07/2014
Again this morning NAC receives a test player in the Autotaalglas Training in Zundert. It is the 18-year-old attacking midfielder Paul Katsetis. It closes at 10:00 hours to the training of the first team. Katsetis born in Sydney but holds a Greek passport, began playing football in his native Australia. At age fifteen, he moved to AEK Athens, where he soon joined the promises. He impressed and even became youth international of Greece under -17. For the national team, he scored twice. Last season forced Katsetis transfer down to Catania, playing in Serie A. This is the club where NAC striker Kingsley Boateng played last year. At the Italian club he played his games, especially in the second team. To debut in the first did not happen. http://www.nac.nl/p108l1/newsid/9194/NAC-test-Aussiegriek.html

Don't know if this has been mentioned as it may have happened a few weeks ago but Robert Stambolziev has transferred from his Cypriot team to newly promoted Greek Superliga side Niki Volos. Quote:Andrew Marveggio is the most recent acquisition of Fortuna Sittard. The 22-year-old Australian, who played at SC Telstar the past three years, signed a one-year contract on an amateur basis. In Velsen-Zuid (Telstar) he failed to develop into a solid value. So our new coaching staff suspect that was erroneously. Marveggio get a season to show it. http://lb03.net/marveggio-tekent-amateurcontract/ So Telstar didn't rate him, Sittard think he might have something and he has a season to prove himself. Sittard finished well above Telstar last season. They had an excellent defensive record and but scored an average number of goals. I suppose they're searching for a cheap diamond in the rough.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Was getting worried with Irvine not featuring in friendlies and no pictures of him in camp but it turned out he wasn't there. Celtic tweeted this; Quote:Celtic Football Club @celticfc · 3h Jackson Irvine, who spent last season on loan at Kilmarnock, has also joined the Bhoys in Austria. (MH) Don't know why he was delayed but he is there now.

Katsetis at Breda seems to be going well. A second friendly tonight could be a big deciding factor. Also is it just me or is it weird for a club to give positive reviews on a trialist? I would think they would be more secretive. Quote:For the young midfielder Paul Katsetis also true that he gets time to prove themselves. "Paul is a great talent and we wanted to give him a chance to show it. Whether we eventually roll out a contract is not to say, but he works hard and shows that he was not dubbed as talent for nothing. " Both players will test Tuesday against DSE in Etten-Leur playing time again and the chance to convince technical staff. http://www.nac.nl/p108l1/newsid/9200/Nieuwe-spelers-maken-indruk.html

Hope he leaves Celtic, this guy is already ahead of Holland in my opinion and will be a great midfielder alongside Jedinak should he get regular football again.

Fulham have confirmed the signing of McCormack. Most likely to be a back up to Taggart ;)

So he's seemingly currently behind Mitrogolou, Rodallega, McKormack and Dembele now. Championship reserves <3

Fulham have a lot of forwards right now but maybe they'll offload one. I really don't want to see Davidson there at the moment.

Mitroglou and Rodallega are likely out so it will probably be McCormack as first choice and Taggart, Dembele, Woodrow being the backup unless he plays two up front then McCormack and one other will be starters.

I would say a better result than his goal with Sainsbury keeping a clean sheet in his half in a 1-2 win vs Eerste divise side Sparta Rotterdam. Quote:Sparta Rotterdam - PEC Zwolle 1-2 (0-1). Opstelling: PEC Zwolle: Boer (46. De Jong), Van Polen (46. Turan), Sainsbury (46. Pereira), Van Hintum, Rienstra (70. Rasevic), Thomas (46. Dekker), Saymak (46. Marinus), Drost, Mahmudov (60. Moro), Nijland (46. Ferfelis) http://m.peczwolle.nl/nieuws/5475/PEC-Zwolle-wint-ook-van-SpartaInfo from Breda's twitter: Katsetis got the second half for Breda and scored the first of the half in a 16-0 win. Breda also signed one of the other trialists Kingsley Boateng a striker from Milan yesterday. Quinn didn't play. Edited by moofa: 9/7/2014 06:45:15 AM

Well they are short of players in general with transfermarkt with them only having 18 players and their official website with them only 17 (both include 3 GKs). Defense is where they are really short but most squads have at least 23 in the Eredivisie so there are definitely positions available. I am guessing they don't have much cash and free transfers who are only on youth contracts are probably the cheapest option so all good there. The only question left is how good is he? He got a positive review a few days ago and scored today so I and going to be optimistic and say he has a good chance of getting a contract offer.
