solid win by our lads last night against blacktown. blacktown played well firt 20, could of taken the lead. funny game. we then hit them with 3 goals before half time. whilst only trials, good day all round for us given our track record against blacktown isnt the best. we won in 13's, 15's, 18's, 20's and first grade. lost in 14's and 16's. good to see our 20's get a win. again pre season only, but good for the confidence. manly this sunday at home!

FT: Rockdale 4-1 Blacktown City WSW NPL side is very quick and fit, they looked a lot sharper.... I take it they haven't stopped training at all I might be wrong but yeah think they just continued training after the NYL season finished.

Is Reidy only coaching this year or playing also? player coach. IMO, he still has a lot to offer.

Guangzhou R&F 5-1 Sydney United. first half was 1-1 where we played a fairly strong side, second half mostly youth bar 3 players, and in the end the Asians were too good.

Season kicks off in just under two weeks.
Which sides are looking strong? Who are the favourites? Who'll struggle?

Rockdale would be my favourites with Bonnyrigg and Blacktown City pushing for top spot also, Hakoah look like they will struggle. theusual suspects wll be there: apia- have a strong team again, lost a few but recruited a few as well bonnyrigg- similar squad, no tadrosse but otherwise strong, petersen and younis upfront will be a handful blacktown city- again veyr little change, frogiganos is a loss, but with the likes of cairncross, antelmi, mallia, major, choi, lewis- they will be very strong. rockdale- solid suqad, some good new inclusions even syd united, yeah theyve lost some players, but theyve picked up frigiganos from blacktown, chris payne up front, bosnar, uskok if he comes back, a couple of very good jap boys. manly and the wolves never grab attention pre season but going to cromer and down to the gong is never eady, they will both be tough. parra have recruited well and will be stronger. spartans have added the likes of perkatis and prioa sutho will be an interesting one, yeah they have lost a few, but theyve snapped up josh da silva, takuya murayama to name a couple. olympic another interesting one. lost some key players but then added stamatellis, traintis, and a couple from united. depth might be an issue. hakoah- who knows! it will be a tough comp as always, no clear favourite. probably half a dozen teams pre season who seriously fancy themselves as contenders, but much to separate the rest.

I think Hakoah's first grade have kept a lot of the squad from 2015. I think the main goal is to stay up.

I spoke to Sam K on Wednesday, he said the only addition to our squad will be Uskok but that's after his contract with CCM
