Big weekend for WSW in NPL2 with wins in all 3 grades and SFC losses in 20's and 1st grade which will apparently leave them just 4 pts behind in the club championship. after being 22 pts behind after the last round.

BWE 1-1 Wolves
Had enough chances to win 3 games, that's football. Jovovic fella made his debut last night & looked like a crafty addition.

Big game for United next round, if Blacktown persist with the couple of misfiring attacking players that seem to impress the coach but no one else united will open up a gap at the top of the table. If they can't beat them with the way the team is set up now, they never will. If Travis Major and Pat Antelmi are within a bulls roar of Mitch Mallia , Joey Gibbs and the little Japanese bloke I'll walk backwards to Perth.

So true - what a joke. A NPL2 game behind closed doors FFS. This is one of the top games of the season for followers to see. Are supporters from both sides that bad ? Edited by LFC.: 24/5/2016 09:34:10 AM

yer I got the email late today long after my post T-UNIT........ Members entitled to attend are Sydney FC Hyundai A-League, Sydney FC AFC Champions League and Sydney FC National Premier League Members. The decision to restrict the attendance to Sydney FC Members and players’ families was taken to ensure the orderly conduct of the football matches at Lambert Park, Leichhardt. Please carefully note the following instructions if you wish to attend: Sydney FC NPL Members will gain access to the game on production of their Sydney FC NPL Membership card at the entry gate. Sydney FC Hyundai A-League and AFC Champions League 2015/16 Members wishing to attend the game will be able to buy tickets ONLY ON PRODUCTION of their Sydney FC Hyundai A-League or AFC Champions League 2015/16 Membership card at the ground on match day from 9am. So have wanderers done the same I expect ???? So a NPL2 important game the first season the cities HAL teams have squads entered straight up behind closed doors to the general footballing public. Being a SFC member I totally disagree with this for the record.

Silly decision, but its hampered by the venue. There's only 1 entrance, both active groups would need to enter via the same entrance. 1 toilet block, 1 bar, 1 canteen, 1 grandstand with less than 1,000 seating space and potentially room for a maximum 2,000 standing on the hills.
Supporter groups would be crossing paths all through the match. And while 99% would do so with a smile and maybe some cheeky banter, its unfortunate that everyone gets punished to stop the 1% playing up.
It could probably have been made workable to both sets of fans with a heap of extra security and planning, but i guess SFC and the venue couldn't be bothered.

Big Wally, yep Lambert Park has its limitations as we know, a recipe for disaster - just a shame that near on every game these 2 clubs will have now and future will forever have shadows following - its like winding back the clock to the ol days lol..... So, why not take it to a more suitable venue - say FNSWHQ - I can't see any home advantage on synthetic nowadays eh for starters. Edited by LFC.: 26/5/2016 11:21:18 PM

Maybe FNSW aren't any keener than Lambert Park to have their pitch damaged by mugs with flares

FC aren't forced to play at Lambert. They do so on their own freewill.
Bit much to blame APIA, when they just rent the field out. They don't dictate what FC do with it.
FC simply didn't want to deal with the headache of the two supporter groups and the inevitable trouble.
Its also quite ironic what has occurred considering the FC and WSW have played numerous derbies in the NYL at Lambert. Why weren't the masses interested then?
FC could have moved to another venue if they so choose.

Thats the point Heiny, as ralerasic mentions its up to SFC, I agree, could have been looked into moving BUT this also would have costed SFC more dollars booking another venue as well as still having to pay APIA for Lambert. All comes down to $$$$'s BUT if SFC looked ahead and moved this to a suitable venue therefore gaining more gate takings probably would have compensated the ground costs BUT maybe not the added security needed. Probably just too hard or couldn't be bothered.
