Game against Manly was sad, boys played well for circumstances but were smashed by ultra poor referring as highlighted by the highlights.
How a referee misses a handball infront of him, gives a penalty for a dive & foul of keeper is beyond me, but he said ''sorry'' so we move on.

Grandstand side of the pitch was boggy, with splashes of water whenever players ran and the ball barely rolling on that side. I feel for our poor groundsman who has a mammoth task to put lipstick on a pig before the weekends games. Hopefully a few dry days ahead...

Not sure why anyone thought it'd be a good idea to reschedule the match for Wednesday after 2 weeks of rain and a forecast for further rain and thunderstorms. Couldn't get to the match or the live stream but from what I hear we copped a couple of soft goals due to some average defending and then managed to get on top but couldnt put one away. Now we've got a short turnaround with heavy legs for a Saturday kick off. Wouldnt be at all surprised to find us winless after 3 rounds even if Hakoah is a side we should be putting away easily with the squad we have.

Luckily for them, they have someone (most people know who it is) on the inside at Football NSW who helped keep them up by expanding the size of the league from 12 to 14. If it was a team in Sydney, I highly doubt expansion would have happened.
