Well that's a relief. I'm sure Grantionnaris leepopodoulas will do a top job.
The phone will be ringing hot in Athens or Melbourne to find replacement players. Or alternatively some of the bottom of the table superstars from the 20's can step up as they have Socceroo experience now.

Officialy gone Markys Giannaros Salamah Elsid
Olympic will be making new singing to replace the players who have walked out
Life goes on
i do know that the board was sick of Tsekenis playing style last 2 years and was told to change it
Whilst effective was boring Rockdale did the same in there 4 nil win

blacktown city 3-3 blacktown Spartans.
city got off to a great start. was only for carlos (the Spartans gk) that the score was only 1-0 to city. then Spartans scored off a freekick. then in the last 10mins of the second half Spartans got 2 more. half time 3-1 to Spartans. 20mins left city score through rooney. with about 5 mins left again rooney scored.
a draw a fair result. not the best quality but entertaining

a draw a fair result. not the best quality but entertaining really surprised here....can't believe a player can commit a agricultural foul and a very obvious one, pretty close to a kubg foo throw, the ref can pull it up and award a freekick rightly so, and it was a yellow card foul, rooney then blows up and tells the ref to Fuck off and no yellow.....no yellow for the foul...no yellow to the discent...?????? could nearly of been a red card against city when the last two defenders committed an obvious professional foul and took down a spartans players who was through on goal....but both the players took him out (cynically) and just a freekick no cards at all????????????????? anyway a high tempo game and good to watch Spartans should of held on for the win......at 3=1 at halftime....both teams created plenty of chances.... =d> =d>

Batfink,
What's an agricultural foul?
Did he fertilise on the other player? Did he plough him from behind?
Or was he just giving the other player a load of compost.
Whatever it is I'll have to add that to the football almanac.

I was sitting near ken schembri and even heard him say rooney should have been booked. as for the last tackle, not so sure. I think the yellow was sufficient as there was another defender there. the ref was consistant, consistently bad, but still consistant.

Do you really feel the need to abbreviate a word that is made up of three letters? Talk about dropkick.

We could have been up by 2/3 goals in the opening 10 minutes but it was all downhill from there. We were second best for the other 80 minutes
Very disappointing performance and 3 losses on the trot now.
We're a different side without Glavas, not that we were setting the world on fire even when we were winning.

He meant to say, Biggest pullers in the comp. Anyway when players are playing for spots in the team it's a different ball game, they come out firing. Complacency appears an issue in the past for Olympic. Of course BWE would look flat with the opposition playing as if their careers depended on it. Credit where it's due. Top effort and smart start for Leepopodoulas. Can he keep it up? These advantages tend to fade when the steam runs out. Still a way to go with 12 games left. The table has taken shape but with reverse away/home games to come.

Whatever it is I'll have to add that to the football almanac. Was about to write exactly this.... hahahahaha Well in Aussierus! I don't get it. Why's it funny? Have you two never listened to English commentary of games before or something? I'll do some research for you guys. Quote:Question: I just heard the phrase 'agricultural challenge' on BBC Football Focus. What is it? Answer: Generally agricultural equipment is perceived as being heavy and clumsy and crude. Thus an agricultural challenge is a bad one. Quote:To illustrate the relative nature of football aesthetics, consider one stock phrase of football punditry: the "agricultural tackle". The term might've been, and probably was applied to Shawcross' reckless lunge on Ramsey the other week. But there are plenty of football appreciators who elevate the manoeuvre and the type of player that implements it aesthetically.
As "agricultural", perhaps it might be simple, rustic, close to the land. Being close to the land, it must be local, patriotic - the opposite of exotic or mannered. There's an evocation of the tackler "ploughing" into the turf. There's class associations going back to the feudal era.
On the other hand, as "agricultural" perhaps it's dull-witted, destructive, uncouth and unskilled.
That sort of tackle appeals to some viewers and appals others. The term used to describe it is redolent of football's nature as a social spectacle in a social context. The relative appeal of the the term reflects the relative appeal of what it signifies.
