blacktown city 3-3 blacktown Spartans.

city got off to a great start. was only for carlos (the Spartans gk) that the score was only 1-0 to city. then Spartans scored off a freekick. then in the last 10mins of the second half Spartans got 2 more.
half time 3-1 to Spartans.
20mins left city score through rooney. with about 5 mins left again rooney scored.

a draw a fair result. not the best quality but entertaining

really surprised here....can't believe a player can commit a agricultural foul and a very obvious one, pretty close to a kubg foo throw, the ref can pull it up and award a freekick rightly so, and it was a yellow card foul, rooney then blows up and tells the ref to Fuck off and no yellow.....no yellow for the foul...no yellow to the discent...??????

could nearly of been a red card against city when the last two defenders committed an obvious professional foul and took down a spartans players who was through on goal....but both the players took him out (cynically) and just a freekick no cards at all?????????????????

anyway a high tempo game and good to watch

Anyway when players are playing for spots in the team it's a different ball game, they come out firing. Complacency appears an issue in the past for Olympic. Of course BWE would look flat with the opposition playing as if their careers depended on it.

Credit where it's due. Top effort and smart start for Leepopodoulas. Can he keep it up? These advantages tend to fade when the steam runs out.

Still a way to go with 12 games left. The table has taken shape but with reverse away/home games to come.

As "agricultural", perhaps it might be simple, rustic, close to the land. Being close to the land, it must be local, patriotic - the opposite of exotic or mannered. There's an evocation of the tackler "ploughing" into the turf. There's class associations going back to the feudal era.

On the other hand, as "agricultural" perhaps it's dull-witted, destructive, uncouth and unskilled.

That sort of tackle appeals to some viewers and appals others. The term used to describe it is redolent of football's nature as a social spectacle in a social context. The relative appeal of the the term reflects the relative appeal of what it signifies.
