Just got NWSF advise local football is canned ! as expected fellas. Copy of main points decided : 2021 Premiers Premiers will be declared in all competitive divisions (U12 and above) based on a Points per Match calculation. This method was used in many competitions around the world last year in determining Premiers. The usual method of determining Premiers where teams are equal on PPM will be used. Please see attached for the full tables and PPM calculations. Premiers have been highlighted. Premiers Medals All teams declared Premiers in the competitive divisions (U12 and above) will receive Premiers Medals. Arrangements will be made to distribute these to clubs as soon as possible. Perpetual Trophies No perpetual trophies will be awarded for the 2021 season. This includes Club Championships and other annual awards. Promotion and Relegation (Mixed PL and SL) Promotion and relegation in PL/SL will not apply in 2021.

I have received a big update from Russ Gibbs - NPL ACT commentator reckons it will struggle to even see FFA Cup at all this year due to the lockdown in Sydney and border closures applied right across the country.
As also 13 clubs are affected in the firing line (5 A League, 5 Football NSW, 2 Northern NSW, and 1 ACT).
NSW teams are also banned from travelling to ACT so APIA Leichhardt Tigers wouldn’t be able got come and play Cooma Tigers in Canberra.
Also with likelihood that both NSW and maybe Victoria are facing unlikely to finish their NPL seasons he can’t see FFA Cup national rounds or NPL National Finals series taking place.

Thanks Brenton, not surprised sadly. I can't see NSW/Sydney out of lockdown till end of Sept ??? for one, reduced restrictions to begin with. What a mess and let down and one wonders when we can re start till jab's are in high %.

Repeating 2021 season. Another season of NPL 4 clubs playing for nothing. Great decision. :hehe:

+xRepeating 2021 season. Another season of NPL 4 clubs playing for nothing. Great decision. :hehe: yep, what did SG say ? we go again ! Well in theory you are playing to make sure your in the promoted top half of the draw, again. Really what a PIA....hey worked good for SU and Rock, this season - wonder IF those demerit points will be carried over for next season start on minus. NPL NSW Men’s Competitions (U20-1st Grade) – 2022 In light of the decision to cancel the remainder of the 2021 season, it is important to confirm the Competition structures for the 2022 season so as to assist clubs with planning during the offseason. As a result of the current lockdown period, only the first 17 of the 22 scheduled regular season matches were able to be played in the NPL 1 competition and only 16 of the 22 scheduled regular season matches were able to be played in each of the three remaining Senior Men’s Competitions. Clearly, the Premiership season has not been completed and as such, the sporting integrity associated with our various principles surrounding promotion/relegation have been severely compromised. In consideration of the unique and extraordinary circumstances that have led to the NPL NSW Men’s Competitions not being able to be completed, the following will be implemented: - For the 2022 season, as was the case during the 2021 season, the Men’s Senior Competition will comprise four competitions (NPL, NPL 2, NPL 3 and NPL 4) with no more than 12 clubs participating in each.
- The promotion and relegation structure as set out in Section 2, Article 12 of the 2021 Competition Regulations is to be deferred so as to apply for promotion and relegation from the 2022 to 2023 season rather than from the 2021 to 2022 season.

yer ? I thought the top 6 or 8 from PL3 go to PL2 and the balance from PL4 make up PL3 with those remaining for 16Clubs. Doesn't sound right all PL4 to 3 from my re collection.

On the way to the office this morn was listenning to someone saying where's our Sport Minister ???? We have other industries advertising opening plans wheres the Sport Minister talking about local sport and plans to open. So many need that boost of hope from kids to Snr sport.

I'm looking forward to the season. Hopefully we can complete the season so we can get the restructure for 2023. Hearing rumours that not all NPL 4 clubs will be promoted.. some may be kicked out and replaced.

Talking about trials. How many pre season games is to many. 11 games before/ after Xmas is one I've heard. That's half a season of games before the comp even starts. All without being paid.

Arn't results posted up ? Results don't go up for trials. yer that sucks. I know some clubs wouldn't like they got done by a lower Div club but results are results. It should be listed and the Team sheets. Thats whats bugged me about having all this online and hardly any of the sections are filled in for years I see. I get some Clubs mightn't have the resource BUT surely starting line ups and subs can be posted and obviously results. So many Clubs go to the trouble of having FB for eg. I'm sure I wouldn't be alone thinking the same. FNSW website is a friggin mess by the way as well. Doing searchs at times is frustrating.
