Prove me wrong Kolner
you seem to focus a lot of time on our club. anyway, yes we have lost some big players as everyone knows, but anything is possible. defensively were probably stronger than last year with hesketh playing well. keeper wise tommy is a class act and was unlucky to have been sent off against apia sat night. the ref thought it was ok but the linesman had other ideas. anyway, ive said it before, its a tough comp, even if Spartans are clear at top, on their day, anyone can beat anyone. I wouldn't go getting excited just yet, its a long way to go. well done to Olympic for the three away wins on the trot.

to many injuries effected us, players left to other clubs and personal reasons, with no replacements. I say we have one of if not the youngest side in the competition. Talented yes, but inconsistent.
Missing Glen Trifiro and Mirjan Pavlovic badly. someone said pav was coming back from india. is that not happening now? yeah you guys are missing a few but credit to the club for still putting out a solid and youthful team. He should be back soon. There have been a few injuries and setbacks with the likes of Trifiro, Pava and Urosevski 'leaving' right before the season started. However, our squad is still head and shoulders above the bottom few sides and there's no excuses for not picking up maximum points against the likes of Manly and St George. Our squad is still strong enough to challenge for the finals and I dont buy into the "young squad" thing. It's definitely a young squad, no doubt about it. But there's plenty of quality in those youngsters and they've been amongst our best so far this season. Our downfall has been up front. There have been games where we've looked clueless in the final third and other games where we havent been able to finish our chances. Losing Pava and Tricky and sticking LG out wide probably hasnt helped either of those situations. Having said that, when LG was up front earlier in the season he wasnt getting any service anyway. Triantis and Pava should both be back soon. Rudes will have close to a full squad to pick from and I'd expect us to pick up our game in second half of the season - just like we did last year.

The dropped points against Manly and STG will come back to haunt us. We cant afford to drop points to sides like that I'm still quietly confident of a turnaround. At this stage last season we were looking just as poor and then went on something like a 10 game winning streak to storm into the finals. BWE was the only game we lost in the second half of the season, IIRC.

Good signings for SU58, Rudan working his sydney contacts well for his side. WTF is wrong with South Coast? Being consistently shit and struggling to hang onto draws is hardly a good sign for a prospective A-League side. Hopefully both they and St George get something going. I've got a real soft spot for the latter as the St George- Budapest teams from the 60's to the 80's were just such a massive driving force for Australian football in the past.

Did you watch the game?? he love stirring. first half hour we were very good, created chances, didn't put em away, bonno came home strong and then scored the winner with the last kick of the game. we had a 5 minute break in play as bonno had a player seriously injured, poor lad, fell to the ground and was hit in the face with a knee from one of his team mates. multiple fractures in told. anyway, waratah cup rules- no extra time. ridiculous.

That can't be right.
Bankstown Berries and St George went to extra time. Two mins away from penalties.

Good game but Bonnyrigg took control in the last 20 min
Must better game than the other game there were Marconi or Rockdale couldnt put 5 passes together
Bonnyrigg took control in the last 20 min as Rockdale fell asleep
Apia due a win and i think they will beat Bonyrigg this week
5 draws in 7 games tell me they are close to wining a game

we dropped two points against Marconi and apia. re apia, I thought even though we played most game with 10 men, they didn't really trouble us. warren did look good before he went off. not sure how long powell will take to come up to speed but they have some cattle, just a question of them all clicking. fogarty, parisi, mayora, powell upfront. anyway, their time will come. ive said it before, a very even comp. re waratah cup, the draw was a joke, us playing bonno rd 32. no extra time in regular time equally ridiculous. we had an extended break and yet nothing extra. anyway, good luck to the remaining teams including our local side sans souci!

Tough luck, we had to play you guys away at your homeground which heavily favours the home side.... 2nd half we should have had 3-4 goals And no Tezza didn't play, he is debuting next week according to the Bwefc facebook page

I'd guess that he was about 21 years old... What a tragedy. I played against him a couple of times and he was a very talented player. Condolences to his family & friends.

Edited by macedonia: 4/5/2014 06:48:30 PM indeed, terrible terrible news. his brother david is with us at rockdale. we had a minutes silence yesterday before the game. his brother david wanted to play yesterday and was on the teamsheet. apparently dropped on the field, suspected heart attack, the refs tried to revive him, they did, but lost him afterwards. may he rest in peace and our condolences to the adjassou family. really puts things into perspective.
